Some Good , Some Not So Good

Pros: Bedding, linens, and staff helpful. Grounds very attractive. Shuttle service to and from airport (at nominal cost).
Cons: Shower badly designed; water everywhere in the shower room. A cooked breakfast should be offered at no additional charge between 8-10 am.
Location: Near Bristol Airport.
Bedding and linens great. Upholstery and carpets badly stained.

Good hotel close to Bristol Airport

Pros: The welcome and the comfort.
The receptionist was really welcoming and helpful. The other staff were also very good. Bar food was good. Room was clean and comfortable. No outside noise until we heard a flight take off a little after 6 a.m. (we were already up and getting ready for our flight).

Good for the airport

Pros: Very, very quiet and warm.
Cons: The bar!
Location: Great for airport.
We stayed for early evening to 5am the next day. Didn't eat at the restaurant as it didn't offer what we wanted so ate out at a local pub. The room was quiet, warm and clean; the breakfast for 4.30am in the morning hit the right spot and the 2-3 min drive to the airport siver zone parking was a real bonus. We would stay again if having an early morning flight.

Not quite what we expected from the pictures

Pros: The staff were friendly. The breakfast was very nice - although cost extra.
Cons: Publicity images should be more representative. In our room: sink draining, room temperature control, toilet seat.
Location: We literally stopped overnight enroute. The airport is close and pickup by the hotel is offered at a cost.
My husband and I needed a hotel close to Bristol airport for a travel stopover and found this one via expedia. There was only one picture - and that was of the front of the hotel, which looked nice and kind of matched with the "manor" part in the name of the hotel. To get a better idea of what the rooms were like we looked up the hotel's own website and it all looked lovely. When we got there we found we were not in the main building at all but in motel-type rooms accessed from an external pathway. The room was far smaller than the ones on the hotel website and nothing like as nice. Of course we were very disappointed. Our room had a wetroom-style bathroom and the sink didn't drain at all well taking about 10 minutes for the water to leave the basin, leaving behind any toothpaste or whatever that was in the water. Not very pleasant at all. The toilet seat was clearly designed for a different toilet base and fitted badly. The room itself was way too hot with no way to cool it down other than opening a window so we slept very badly. In the morning we found that the breakfast included in the room rate was only a very basic continental breakfast. This is probably fair and we were happy to pay for the very nice cooked breakfast on offer. Rooms in the main manor probably are lovely but the ones in the "expedia-bookings alley" are more basic. I think we'd have been less disappointed if they had been more honest and open in publicity images.

Lovely setting

Lovely staff. Unfortunately a fire alarm at 6am woke us up after a late night - no subsequent explanation. Breakfast included is just continental, but very pleasant. Beautiful setting.

Not for travelers from Bristol airport

Smallest of rooms we have ever stayed in, no wardrobe, no space for your luggage as this is supposed to be an airport hotel as well as they advertise. This hotel might be okay for weddings but not for travelers. Lights in the room could not be switched off, seemed to be on timer - up to 30 minutes delay! Breakfast just continental, anything else will have to be paid for. Restaurant sparse, menu limited for a hotel and prices more than excessive. Stay away if you are flying the next day from Bristol airport.

Really helpful and caring staff

Pros: Location, staff.
Cons: Squeaky stairs.
Location: Great for Bristol Airport.
On return from Tenerife my car would not start. Staff were incredibly helpful and caring. They gave my wife a coffee while I tried to arrange for breakdown cover. Nothing was too much trouble. All the staff we met that night were credit to the hotel.

Small room

Pros: Staff and dinner.
Cons: Room refurbishment.
Location: Difficult to get too. Narrow country lanes.
The room was extremely small. Little storage, we had to tread over our suitcases. A premierinn would have been a much better option. It was too expensive for the standard of accommodation. On the plus side, excellent staff and food.
