Pleasant stay.

Posted 18-Dec-2014
Pros: Very warm and welcoming. We were very impressed with the resturant opposite which is owned by the hotel. Good food and hospitality.
Cons: Definitely the bathroom. Hoping to relax in a nice warm bath after our journey but put off by the obvious black mould.
Location: Used location for easy access to Bath Christmas market. Able to use the Park and Ride service located about 4 miles away.
Very friendly staff. Able to give good information on local activities and transport Bed very comfortable. Large room. Unfortunately the bathroom needs updating to modern standards. Mould showing around the bath and sink area. Unable to use the swimming pool as being used for children,s swimming lessons at the time of our arrival and we were only staying for one night.

Nice Hotel

Posted 11-Dec-2014
Pros: The room was very nice and the staff when you could find them were very friendly. Food was very good especially breakfast. Rooms were very warm.
Cons: Swimming pool changing facilities very poor, had to change on poolside. Also mother and baby classes taking place for 2 hours.
Location: About 15 minute drive from the centre of Bath.
We stayed for two nights as we were attending my daughter's graduation in Bath.

Wife's Birthday, needed to see Bradford.

Posted 14-Nov-2014
Pros: No urgency but come dinner the food was superb. Ours was a midweek stay and the restaurant was quiet. I was pleased to see a fairly limited menu but
Cons: This site's arrangements so I can finish my comments above.
Location: Bath, Trowbridge and of course the beautiful Bradford.
Laid back country hotel. Great food with communicative staff.

Great accommodation for a family of 5.

Posted 26-Aug-2014
Location: We used the hotel as a base to travel to Stonehenge. It is also convenient to the city of Bath. There is a very good pub within walking distance.
We travel with a family of five and often have difficulty finding suitable accommodation. This hotel had a very spacious room with a double bed and three single beds that accommodated us perfectly. The room also had additional seating, tea/coffee in the room, a spacious bathroom with bathtub and shower and parking right outside the room. The hotel had a large indoor swimming pool which was very relaxing after a day of touring and provided a full English breakfast in their restaurant. The room was recently renovated and very clean.

personnel totalement incompétent

Posted 03-Aug-2014 on Hotels.com

Lovely country house hotel

The hotel is very country-house with original sitting rooms and a pretty conservatory and gardens. The breakfast was really good and serving staff very gracious.

Great hotel

Great hotel, very friendly and welcoming staff. It's very easy to get to the hotel but with being set back from the road you don't hear any noise. The room was quite big, very clean and had everything you would want or expect but it did feel a little dated. That said I would stay here again without hesitation

Relaxing night away

Posted 17-Feb-2014 on Hotels.com
The staff were very helpful and the quality of food was fantastic. The hotel only lets itself down by being tired in some areas. In our bedroom bathroom the tray above the sink was rusting and the decor requires freshening up.

A country oasis away the bustle of Bath

Posted 13-Sep-2013 on Hotels.com
A lovely place to stay and relax after a day sightseeing in Bath .When visiting Bath there is no need to suffer the traffic and parking , just walk 10 minutes to a bus stop and after 40 minutes you're in the centre of the city with no parking problems . The service was excellent and staff friendly . Evening meal was excellent although the wine a little expensive .We stayed in a nice room away from the main building ( No 10 ) which was quite spacious with all we needed .... toiletries and drinks making facilities . The grounds were pretty and there are walks by the canal nearby . The small pool was just around the corner so we were able to have a swim and dash back to the room to use our own shower ! Janet, the joint owner ,was charming and enthusiastic, and has selected interesting paintings for the hotel !Breakfast was good and served in the conservatory setting us up for the day . We certainly got much better value for money than staying in Bath !!
