Nice break to the country

Posted 21-Jan-2015
Pros: The breakfast, the building itself and the premises and the room (luxurious).
Cons: Amend the pool timetable as Saturday morning the poll was occupied by Baby swim classes and we were unable to use it.
Location: The near by city is great and picturesque. The near by pub (just cross the road) has great food that you could find in a 5* London restaurant.
I booked the hotel after an expedia recommendation, therefore I was scared of what I was going to see. But I was wrong. The hotel is amazing. Great value for money. The outside area is dominating and even though I stayed there during the colder weekend of January, I enjoyed walking around. I did not stayed at the main hotel building(which is mesmerising) but at the room next to the pool. The room was amazing(a huge queen size bed with huge pillows, a huge telly and a 10 inch tablet to surf online), very warm and very quiet (although next to the pool). The breakfast that was included in the price was excellent and you could choose on top of your full English breakfast a great variety of jam, honey and marmelade, yogurt, fruits, cereal and porridge toppings. Also a lot of juice and coffee. Even in paid breakfast you don't get that variety.I am very pleased with the hotel and the staff and I will totally recommend that to a friend. The staff was very polite and very very keen to help.

Nice hotel.

Posted 24-Dec-2014
The beds were very comfy with nice clean sheets. It was nice to see a big t.v. It had the usual things that you would find in a hotel shampoo conditioner, tea, coffee and kettle. We did not ask for the heating to be put on but it would have been nice if they had put it on before we arrived especially with it being December. We found the room to be cold and damp feeling. Other than that we had a nice stay and would love to go again.

Good for children

Posted 23-Dec-2014
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Food could be better
Nice stay. The indoor pool was a winner with our children. The staff were excellent and keen to give us a good experience. The food was average, but did not detract. Thumbs up.

Pleasant stay.

Posted 18-Dec-2014
Pros: Very warm and welcoming. We were very impressed with the resturant opposite which is owned by the hotel. Good food and hospitality.
Cons: Definitely the bathroom. Hoping to relax in a nice warm bath after our journey but put off by the obvious black mould.
Location: Used location for easy access to Bath Christmas market. Able to use the Park and Ride service located about 4 miles away.
Very friendly staff. Able to give good information on local activities and transport Bed very comfortable. Large room. Unfortunately the bathroom needs updating to modern standards. Mould showing around the bath and sink area. Unable to use the swimming pool as being used for children,s swimming lessons at the time of our arrival and we were only staying for one night.

Nice Hotel

Posted 11-Dec-2014
Pros: The room was very nice and the staff when you could find them were very friendly. Food was very good especially breakfast. Rooms were very warm.
Cons: Swimming pool changing facilities very poor, had to change on poolside. Also mother and baby classes taking place for 2 hours.
Location: About 15 minute drive from the centre of Bath.
We stayed for two nights as we were attending my daughter's graduation in Bath.

Wife's Birthday, needed to see Bradford.

Posted 14-Nov-2014
Pros: No urgency but come dinner the food was superb. Ours was a midweek stay and the restaurant was quiet. I was pleased to see a fairly limited menu but
Cons: This site's arrangements so I can finish my comments above.
Location: Bath, Trowbridge and of course the beautiful Bradford.
Laid back country hotel. Great food with communicative staff.

Loved everything.

Professional, friendly staff. we had one of the newly refurbished rooms which was decorated in very tastefully and was very comfortable. The bed was the best I have slept in out of many this trip and the bathroom was lovely. we had an exceptionally beautiful dinner in the restaurant while our children stayed in our room and had room service burgers and brownies while watching the big flat screen TV. we didn't get to try the pool but it looked lovely as it does on the website. the grounds are beautiful and there was even a friendly hotel much to my children's delight. Would highly recommend this hotel and restaurant.

Great accommodation for a family of 5.

Posted 26-Aug-2014
Location: We used the hotel as a base to travel to Stonehenge. It is also convenient to the city of Bath. There is a very good pub within walking distance.
We travel with a family of five and often have difficulty finding suitable accommodation. This hotel had a very spacious room with a double bed and three single beds that accommodated us perfectly. The room also had additional seating, tea/coffee in the room, a spacious bathroom with bathtub and shower and parking right outside the room. The hotel had a large indoor swimming pool which was very relaxing after a day of touring and provided a full English breakfast in their restaurant. The room was recently renovated and very clean.

personnel totalement incompétent

Posted 03-Aug-2014 on Hotels.com
