“Love Boston!”
A group of 6 went to Boston for 4 nights. Our main purpose was a Bruins/ Leafs game on the Saturday night, and the Pats/ Colts game on Sunday. Overall, we fell in love with Boston. The people we ran into were so kind and welcoming. We came home with a sense that folks in Boston are extremely hospitable. We had some less than stellar service in the restaurants, and they do like to tack on an 18% tip to your bill for tables of 6 or more. That caught us off guard for service that in one case was just plain awful. Other than that little blip, we would all go back. The trolley tour is well worth the $32 day charge. You get hop on, hop off service at all stops on the hour and 40 minute route.
“Great Hotel! Professional, Friendly Staff!”
We had a GREAT time in Boston! Perfect hotel, great neighborhood!
“Would definitely return”
Well-designed and appointed but not to the point of being overdone. Room was comfortable. Good location close to Quincy Market and Back Bay. Staff were pleasant and helpful.
“Stunning view in Boston”
Walked in at night to find wraparound windows with a stunning view of the State House dome and Park Street Church steeple, both lit up like a postcard. In the morning, found ourselves looking over the Common and the Charles River as well. Definitely worth opting for a room with a view. The room itself was a bit small, but nicely finished...as was everything downstairs...and the room service was great, so we were very happy. It's also a great location, with easy access to lots of tourist attractions and the T to various parts of the city.
“lovely small boutique hotel”
I have stayed at the Nine Zero a number of times while in Boston and always feel comfortable there. The staff is friendly, accommodating and competent. The rooms are small, but well appointed and comfortable. It feels posh without being pretentious. The hotel is extremely well located - near a couple of subway stations and bus stops, downtown crossing, the boston common and lots of restaurants. It will always be my first choice in Boston.
“Great stay”
A bit pricey but, the hotel was excellent. You get what you pay for. The location was reasonable and quick to get from Route 93, there are a couple of blocks of downtown traffic to wade through but not too much to deal with. That being said, the location of the hotel is ideal for walking/touring about Boston. The room was modern and clean and had a great view looking west over the Boston Commons to the Charles River. The front desk was even nice enough to send us up complementarity chocolate covered strawberries and champagne for on our anniversary.
“Stylish, relaxed friendly hotel in great location”
This was my favourite hotel from our trip. Staff were all friendly and helpful especially Thomas the concierge. They helped print stuff and kindly left chocolate strawberries and champagne in the room for my husbands birthday. The rooms were comfortable and modern with a large shower. We had a reasonable view from the 15th floor. The complimentary wine reception was a nice way to unwind of an evening. The hotel is in a great location, right on the Freedom Trail and close to South Station and T stations. Would recommend this hotel and definitely pick another Kimpton hotel.
“All very good!”
No worries and friendly staff
“Excellent hotel”
The hotel was excellent and standard was very high. The staff was great and very helpful. The complimentary wine b/w 5-6 was also great. The only complaint that I have is that upon check in I had a substantial amount taken out of my debit card for "incidentals", this is fine except I was not advised at all that this was going to happen and the money was not being credited back into account for another 5 business days!. Seeing as this was towards the end of our trip it really inconvenienced us as we were relying on those funds.
“would go back to this hotel time and time again.”
Excellently situated - central for the common to the left - Quincy Market to the right and through plaza. Spotlessly clean. Rooms very comfortable. All staff very courteous and helpful. Was quite surprised to see guests with their dogs at the hotel - hadn't realised when we booked that pets were allowed at the hotel. Having said that the hotel was spotlessly clean and had I not seen the dogs I would never have guessed that pets were allowed.
