“Place and price is nice”

Easy to find, near the highway without the noise. Restaurant at the hotel was very good although the service could have been better. Rooms were clean and the bed, comfortable and luxurious. The sofa, not so much. Overall, nice. I'd stay again.

“go there every thanksgiving to visit my son”

Driving from Albany, NY , getting right off the Mass Pike, we are there! Thge best location on the country's biggest travel day. Love the towels, the bar. the cookiess!

“Very Comfortable Hotel”

Was pleasantly surprised by hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were given warm chocolate chip cookies upon checking in! but beware for those with nut allergies. They do have nuts in them. The room was great - very clean and spacious, with living room and separate bedroom. I do find it curious that I was only offered a king or twin beds - no 2 doubles in a room. Our only complaint was that the small refrigerator would come on every 1/2 hour or so and rattle. We just closed the bedroom door at night, but if someone was on the sofa it would have been annoying.

Area recommendations

Newbury Street -- wonderful street for shopping! and the Commons, especially in the spring when flowers are beautiful and the swan boats are out!

Great hotel, clean, maintained and comfortable, overlooking the river. Great location for both Boston and Cambridge. Only bummer was extra charge for parking (no other partking available).

“Nice suites and very good location with easy access to metro lines”

This hotel has a cosy feeling to it and the suites are maintained in good shape. With the reasonable rates, it's even more impressive. Location is very good. Just next to Charles River and walking distance to the metro RED line is very manageable. And an easy walk to the Harvard Campus.

Area recommendations

Harvard campus area and MIT area, both are student focused living areas. Safe and convenient.

“Easy access to tourist activities and retreats.”

Our Boston stay was short but very pleasant due the hotel's excellent facilities and location......an easy drive to Fenway for a night game..... a few steps to the pathway banks of the Charles River for an enjoyable morning walk watching the racing scull teams practice while on our way to the Harvard coffee shops and books stores. Only negative.....hotel's breakfast menu seemed a bit expensive, so we walked to Harvard eateries.

Enjoyed Red Sox game at Fenway, the Charles River and Harvard.

“Hotel was great but the restaurant not so great.”

We would definitely stay at the Doubletree Suites in Boston again but would not eat at the restaurant again. It was very under staffed and our came out over cooked, dry and tasteless.
