“Boiling Room”
The room was boiling and there was no way to cool it down. So, either we had to open the window (onto a main street) or we had to slowly stifle in the room. First night was bad, I called hotel staff who assured me there was no problem with the heating, second night was even worse. Pity, as the people there were great - but you shouldn't have to endure nights like that.
“WELL RUN AND WELL SITUATED HOTEL”
The staff and the amenities of the hotel were all good and the breakfast included in the price very adequate; the breakfast area could be crowded at peak times. All in all it is a hotel to which we would happily return and represented good value for money.
“would not recommend”
Out of the 5 hotels we stayed in during our two Italy trip this one was the only disappointment. It was not very clean, decoration out of date and gaudy and the street noise was very bad.
“Comfortable hotel with quirky decor.”
Clean rooms and the hotel is in a great location. However, the staff was not very helpful or friendly.
“Handy location & nice breakfast”
Nice European hotel - good location for being both close to the sites and within walking distance to the train station. Friendly staff.
“Ideal location”
Excellent location for all local attractions, journey from airport and railway station. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent buffet breakfast. Very clean and comfortable room and facilities Location of our room could have been better as was overlooked by other rooms so had to leave blinds down.
“I will stay in this hotel again.”
This hotelhas the following advantages: convenient location, reasonable price, excellent breakfast, comfortable and clean rooms. Staff was very helpful however it would be nice of them if they said good morning or smiled when you had eye contact.
“Great Location!”
We have just returned from two weeks' holiday staying at this hotel and thought it was very good. It has a very central location on Via dell'Indipendenzia, so everything is walkable. The bedroom was quiet and air conditioned with lots of floor space, big wardrobe and good sized bathroom. The buffet breakfast is plentiful and is served in a bright porticoed room on the ground floor. We found there was a lot to do in Bologna including a climb up the famous Asinelli Tower which has amazing views . The hotel is a short walk from the bus and train stations which makes it very convenient for visiting Parma, Modena, Ravenna, Rimini and Ferrara. The Ducati Museum on the outskirts of Bologna is also worth visiting, but if you apply via their website for a factory and museum tour, you can see the bikes being made and also hear the history of Ducati. There is a taxi rank outside the hotel so it is easy to get there. You can also get the bus to the Lamborghini Museum. Our top recommendation is the walk from Via Saragozza to Porta Saragozza which takes you up to the church of San Luca under 666 porticos - the stunning views from the top all over Bologna make it well worth the climb. There are many restaurants and bars to choose from, all a short walk from the hotel. Two of our favourite restaurants was Ristorante Belfiore in Via Marsala and Ristorante Marilyn in Via Galliera We thought that Bologna was an excellent base from which to visit the best of Emilia-Romagna region.
“Good location”
Close to train station. Markets were right down stairs but weren't anything special just like a flea market. Front desk staff was a little snobby and laughed when I didn't speak Italian and he didn't know what I was saying in English. Only one guy was super friendly and he was the 'bell boy'. Rooms were clean but could use some revamping. Some light fixtures didn't even have shades on them.
“Charming hotel in historic center”
The hotel is newly rennovated, with style and charm. All modern amenities are availabe. Perfectly situated near all important tourist attractions and shopping. The breakfast includes lots of choices. Very reasoably priced. Would recommend it to anyone. Lovely. Would happily go back.
