A couple of things bothered me about the hotel. First, the lobby is located on a different floor than the entrance. That’s not terrible, but you have to buzz someone to unlock the front door to enter or depart. There were three instances we waiting several minutes to be buzzed out. Next, the breakfast fare is anything but fare. The breads/pastries are pedestrian at best. Very few options or variety. And the cardinal sin, a single coffee machine serving the entire din in no room. The laminate flooring in our room was cracked and old. And there are no individual thermostats in the rooms.Staff were friendly but knew very little English. I definitely need to take my language skills to the next level if I visit again.

Highly recom this hotel ! It was not only beautiful, and the staff was very nice and helpful! The rooftop pool with an amazing view was def a highlight. The location is also close to everything. I will def be staying here again

Location. This hotel is in the Candelaria district not far from the Museo de Oro. My room had a magnificent view of the mountain and Monserrate. The room was clean and well appointed. There was good WiFi. The room did not have climate controls and the morning sun heated the room, but I left to explore.

Good location, but can't recommend
For a night or two in Bogota, this hotel is fine. Location is convenient to the major tourist stops. The staff is very friendly and the hotel is clean. But there were problems. The staff just isn't very knowledgeable. They gave me incorrect times about when Monserrate closed and when the ticket office opens at the Salt Cathedral. Those are two of the absolute biggest attractions in Bogota, so that was especially disappointing. There's no AC, which may be fine most days given Bogota's weather, but I had sunny and hot days and the combo of no AC, thin blinds, and east facing windows meant my room heated up very quickly to an unpleasant level. The WiFi was very spotty which just shouldn't happen.

The hotel staff was great. They were helpful when we needed to leave our bags there for the day before checking in in the afternoon. The hotel was clean and while the room was a bit stuffy, they gave us a fan upon request. The hotel is very conveniently located to the central tourist attractions in Bogota, which made getting around very easy. I gave this a four star because I just don't think that I would recommend a friend to stay here. While it was fine for an evening, it just didn't have a lot of character and didn't have some basic things that you expect from a hotel (such as a coffee maker).

This property is right at the center, you literally do not need a taxi as you can pretty much walk to almost everything. The staffs were nice and friendly, rooms were clean and spacious. Lots of restaurants and attractions/activities nearby. It’s in a busy area, so ask for a room with a window not facing the street if you want a quiet room. I would stay here again and I highly recommend this hotel.

Good clean hotel, checking in can be improved
Loved it, however they should find a way to speed up the checking in process. After all my information ( name etc) should be there in the system , instead of just verifying, they started re entering all data which seems outdated.

This property is on Journalists' Park Gabriel García Márquez which makes it very walkable to all of the tourist area locations, tours, museums, shopping, restaurants, and bars as well as has excellent views of downtown, eastern mountains, Montserrate, and Guadalupe Hill. It can be a bit noisy at night due to its location but it's manageable. The breakfast is limited but good - fresh fruit and fruit juices, coffees, eggs (including cook to order), some cold cuts and breads, cereals, and daily special items - and the service is friendly and accommodating. The staff's and the general population's English proficiency is limited, only one staffer is very fluent, so Spanish fluency and translation tools will serve one well. But, overall, people are friendly and helpful, especially in the tourist area. Uber and taxis are readily available and very cost efficient, however, be aware that the road in front of the hotel is one-way and fairly busy so give yourself extra time to account for traffic. FYI - For a wider variety of restaurants and nightlife one should consider visiting the northern suburbs, which are 20-40 minutes away by car, and that Bogotá is very hilly and situated at 8,300-9,000' in altitude (someplaces on pretty steep hills), so plan accordingly, i.e., proper shoes, water, aspirin, backpacks, etc.

Great Location, clean, bad breakfast, noise
I recently stayed at this hotel and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The hotel's location was fantastic, and the cleanliness was commendable. The staff was very polite and attentive, which added to the positive experience. However, I must mention a few areas that fell short of my expectations. The breakfast offered by the hotel was quite pricey, costing 35,000. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was subpar, leaving me disappointed. Instead, I would recommend heading downstairs to the Juan Valdez coffee shop, conveniently located next to the hotel, for a better breakfast experience. Another aspect that affected my stay was the lack of blackout curtains in the room. This meant that at 6 am, the room was flooded with daylight, making it difficult to sleep in. Additionally, the windows were not updated, leading to a significant amount of street noise seeping into the room. The lack of soundproofing made it challenging to have a peaceful rest. Despite these drawbacks, the hotel itself was good, with a convenient location and high cleanliness standards. If you can overlook the breakfast and noise concerns, it can still be a suitable choice for your stay.

No AC No fan hot room bed was hard very noisy from outside had to buy ear plugs to try to get some type of rest room was nice great view

The hotel was nice and clean and the staff was friendly. It’s in a lively area that didn’t see that safe late at night.

I thought the hotel was good in the sense of it's walking distance to Simon Bolivar Plaza and the historic part of La Candelaria. The receptionist Karen was really nice. The room was comfortable and clean. The immediate area around the hotel was a bit seedy.
