This property is on Journalists' Park Gabriel García Márquez which makes it very walkable to all of the tourist area locations, tours, museums, shopping, restaurants, and bars as well as has excellent views of downtown, eastern mountains, Montserrate, and Guadalupe Hill.
It can be a bit noisy at night due to its location but it's manageable.
The breakfast is limited but good - fresh fruit and fruit juices, coffees, eggs (including cook to order), some cold cuts and breads, cereals, and daily special items - and the service is friendly and accommodating.
The staff's and the general population's English proficiency is limited, only one staffer is very fluent, so Spanish fluency and translation tools will serve one well. But, overall, people are friendly and helpful, especially in the tourist area.
Uber and taxis are readily available and very cost efficient, however, be aware that the road in front of the hotel is one-way and fairly busy so give yourself extra time to account for traffic.
FYI - For a wider variety of restaurants and nightlife one should consider visiting the northern suburbs, which are 20-40 minutes away by car, and that Bogotá is very hilly and situated at 8,300-9,000' in altitude (someplaces on pretty steep hills), so plan accordingly, i.e., proper shoes, water, aspirin, backpacks, etc.
