The Desert Rose was perfectly situated and provided most everything we needed. We arrived late afternoon and were disappointed to find the restaurant was closed. We were fortunate to have a recommendation from someone else as to where we could find a meal. Our room was clean and welcoming. The pool was a lovely addition. There was a gym also available although we did not use this. My only criticism is that breakfast was quite unremarkable and especially as this was a more expensive accommodation than other places we have stayed during our travels. The choices were quite limited - cereal or oatmeal. There was no fresh fruit available. There was only white sliced bread - no brown or choice of bagels or muffins. The ‘hot’ choice was scrambled eggs, potatoes and sausage patties but none of these were particularly hot and the eggs and sausage were leathery in texture. The breakfast was adequate but as I said, disappointing when you considered the overall cost of the accommodation. A shame really because the resort itself is lovely.

We rented a cabin, and it was the cutest, cleanest, and welcoming little cabin, we absolutely loved it. The staff was extremely nice and professional. The pool area is seperate from the hotel and cabins, but was a newer addition and extremely beautiful with unreal view of the rocks. There is also a restaurant on site as well, that served very great food, and the staff was also very welcoming and nice.

What a lovely oasis. The views were gorgeous, the pool was a great place to unwind after hiking all day, the rooms were spacious and clean.

For a $200 plus hotel located off the grid, breakfast is woefully lacking. Check in person was devoid of even minimal friendliness. Room was very nice- glad to see they fixed their cable TV, although be aware there are not even 20 stations offered. Not much value considering the price
