"One night stay in May 2024. The White Horse is a pub no more than 5 minutes walk from the centre of Ripon and the cathedral. The rooms are converted stables at the back of the pub. The decor is basic and a little tired but if you’re going to book somewhere like this then you mustn’t expect opulence. The staff were friendly and helpful and I would certainly stay here again on a return trip to Ripon. "

"The radiator in the room didn't work. I went to see the staff, and the boiler wasn't switched on, which is very strange for January !!. The boiler was on but the radiator didn't work on either day of my visit. 2 heaters were provided, but the person in charge wasn't aware of the issue with the boiler/radiator, which was poor in my view."

"We had a great one night stay. The room was clean, very modern and with high quality finish. Our daughter loved the high sleeper bed which was very safe. Convenient location for Brimham Rocks and Fountains Abbey. Plenty of parking onsite. We had a great dinner in the pub and our breakfast was delicious too. Friendly staff, would definitely stay again. Fabulous Stay
"What a great stay , from the friendly staff at reception to the free cookie on arrival ( what a great surprise) The room was stunning!! I had a lovely view of the canal. Great fresh variety of food at breakfast , absolutely delicious. 2 slight faults , room service menu was outdated in my room and what I had my heart set on was no longer on it although the substitute offering was fab ! The room fan occasionally made a really loud annoying buzzing noice thankfully with a bit of changing of settings it didn’t impact my sleep. "
