The hotel is a perfect location in the old part of town. The surrounding area is charming and quaint. Thun castle, wooden bridges, restaurants, trains and buses all within walking distance. It’s a great home base for day trips to St. Beatus caves, Bern, and other areas.

Hotel was perfectly located! Highly recommend if you are just visiting for one day as you can easily walk wherever you want in Old Town. If you are driving you can drive to the hotel, but likely you will end up parking in the garage a 8 min walk away. So I would plan on packing a light bag. Staff was great and our room had an unreal view of the mountains and river. Will recommend to all my friends.

Best room in the property- well located but busy. Hotel doesn’t offer more than that. Slightly overpriced for what is on offer.

Not worth it
Well this is the worst room in the property. Shower not working, holes in the bedsheet, no air or air conditioning that works in the room, divided bed in a honeymoon suite (duh?), just overall expensive room with bad views and nothing extra. On top no coffee machine or a fridge in the room.

The crown hotel
The hotel receptionist was an absolute star, super helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend this hotel as the staff is excellent, the rooms are top notch and super clean.

Room was spacious and beautiful and the bathroom was modern and large. Location was perfect for walking on the river and eating out and visiting the castle. Staff were helpful and kind.

Excellent hotel with spacious rooms and a great view of the mountains. We really enjoyed our time here. The only thing we would have liked is hot food to be included in the breakfast. Besides that, this hotel is near perfect.

Room:good but the carpet needs to be clean,lack of supply like slippers,no bathrobe,no toothbrush & toothpaste.the coffee maker was outside the room you need to dress up if you want to have coffee/tea.Rate:2 stars not 4!!!We stayed 2nights our room was in the corner in front of bar very noisy until 3:00AM...

The hotel is right iin the center of town. It was comfortable and clean but the room was very smalll. We had our window kipped and even on a Sunday night we were woken by passers by. If we stay in Thun again we would however consider staying here again.

Wonderful stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely with a great view of the river and bridge, and had a nice sized bathroom and bedroom. The bed was quite comfortable (on the firm side). The staff were very helpful and answered all our questions. I had an unexpected work call on our checkout day and they provided a space for me to take the call with internet and a nice desk. I’ll definitely return! Be sure to check out the craft cocktail bar near the hotel entrance too.

good location but requires some upgrades.
This hotel was well located in old town with great access to sights and food. The hotel staff was friendly and breakfast was wonderful. The room was in fair condition with clean linens. The carpet was very dirty with many stains and the bathroom shower door was an odd design that kept opening during showers.

Excellent location in a pretty town that is easy to walk around and also is very close walking distance to the rail station which has excellent connections to the rest of Switzerland. Very nice staff at all levels in the hotel.

Everything was great except trying to get to hotel road acces says no access but you can drive up to hotel Parking was also quite a distance away . Lovely dinning areas on the water near the hotel We ate at a great Italian restaurant under the willow trees.

I came into the hotel on the cusp of a bad cold/flu. We were fortunate to be offered a room upgrade that had a lovely, deep bath which I used several times for my aching muscles. The beds and pillows were great too. The hotel is well located with lots to do without walking far. A wonderfully comfortable and lovely hotel!

Great Location
Perfect location in the heart of the old town, it was our anniversary and we were given a free room upgrade. Staff were very friendly and helpful, We were only here for one night with breakfast (which you couldn't fault). Only downside was that there was no air-conditioning. We would totally recommend this hotel :-)

- The hotel is located in avery congested area and no car parking available to guests ( they only have six spaces and always occupied I assume by hotel staff). - Breakfast is very very poor and under basic. - Room rate is very expensive considering the services provided ( simply no value for money). - Toilet is very smelly. - No air conditioning. - No fridge / coffe facility in the room but central one is common in every floor ( is this really 4 star hotel)!!

Good location in old town, close to river & shops. Stayed in room 107 (junior suite), which has the bed in the circular tower. Room not huge, but big enough & better than many in Switzerland.
