“Great for solo travelers”

Great hotel in Bern. One of the few that provides comforts and size similar to what you'd find in the U.S. Great for solo travelers as the singles are actually pretty big and come with a king size bed. Safe and secure. Easy check in and check out. Offfers a very good Swiss continental breakfast as room service every morning (complimentary). Nothing bad to say, except very expensive if you stay in the middle of the week (however, all hotels in Bern are like this). I always stay here when traveling to Bern.

“Acceptable hotelin Bern”

hotel is confortable and convinient to access other place and looks goo due to old town and classic buildings. I could enjoy touring old downtown and used train and bus in time.

“Good enough”

During our 6 night stay we used trains to visit Geneva,Annecy(France),Lausanne and Evian(France) and the hotel was very close to the station.Also very close to the old town where we had most of our time.Location is very good however we were there in second half of September when it was warm during the day but cool in the evenings;(and no rain)but there was no air condition in the room,which can make it difficult for hot seasons. The restaurant below was open on Sundays as well and served delicious food.

“Great hotel”

We stayed at the Hotel Bern for three nights in early November. The rooms are nicely decorated, and very clean. The hotel is in a perfect location, not more than 5 to 10 minutes from Bern SBB. The bathroom was very nice, and the floor tiles were heated from below. Not sure if that was by accident or planned, but it felt nice on the feet. The hotel is near a French church which chimes through the night, so if you leave your window open, and you don't have earplugs, then you are certain to hear the chimes every quarter hour. But then Church bells are just part of the charm of an old city like Bern. The hotel was otherwise very quiet. There are many wonderful restaurants nearby, and there's a restaurant in the hotel if you don't feel like going out. The breakfast buffet has something for everyone, and was very tasty. Overall, I would certainly stay at the Hotel Bern again.

“Hotel Bern - One of Best options in Bern”

Have stayed at this hotel on several different occasions for business in Bern. Location is excellent and overall experience has been very good. Keep in mind that there are not many good hotel options in central Bern so the prices are high and this and other top hotels tend to fill up so book as far in advance as possible.

“Good enough”

Well located. I had a room facing the back courtyard, so it was quiet. I definitely would not stay in the summer because there is no AC, which was a bit of a problem even at the beginning of October! Decor is a bit funky. Having fruit at each floor next to the elevator was a plus. Breakfast was good. Pillows way too soft. Room very clean.

“Convenient location between train station and Old Town (Uneseco World Heritage area)”

Classic old building exterior but interior is new with ultra-modern style. Only downside is no AC which was a bit uncomfortable in August.

Well located, close to old town, less than 15 min from train station. Old building, but completely modernized interior. Room very compact, window opens onto courtyard, so when windows are open you hear other rooms. Doesn't seem to have AC, so probably hot in summer. A quite good hotel for the (Swiss) price.
