The transfer bus drops you off on the main road so it is a 10 minute walk to the hotel. The staff try to be helpful but they do not speak English very well. If you want to go into town you get the number 2 or number 3 bus, which are very regular and cost 1.5 euros. If you like to stay out late at night you can easily get a taxi back to the apartments, which costs about 8 euros.

Great wee hotel, in a busy Spanish area of benidorm. 5 min downhill to poinete beach.
Great price for a few nights
No luxurious but that is why I booked it, it covered the needs I wanted and price reflected this.
I would stay there again without hesitation.
Walls are paper thin tho!!!
Clean comfy close to everything

What a lovely surprise to arrive at this very nicely remodelled apartment. A very nice large sitting room with kitchen. New toaster and microwave which was nice. They could do with renewing the mugs though, we actually went out and bought two because of the cracks in those supplied.
Separate bedroom with the most comfortable beds and the pillows were beautifully soft, all brand. new which was a bonus.
Although on the seafront, we were right in the middle of the old town which was great. Would definitely stay here again.

Booked 4 nights at Montemar Hotel. Had a very clean room on third floor with sea view. Bus stop right outside so you do get street noise - don't think patio doors double glazed. Maid service daily, beds made and towels changed if required (you put them in the bath for changing). Hotel is ideally placed for old town and walks along Levante and Poniente promenade/beaches. We booked B&B only - and there was a good breakfast buffet available. I'd read in previous reviews about it been predominantly Spanish and that they were very rude, it was mainly Spanish pensioners but we didn't find them rude - they keep themselves to themselves which doesn't bother us. Quite comical watching them smuggle food out of the dining hall. There is also a luggage store for late checkouts which is handy and a safety deposit box in the room which cost 15 euros - 10 of which was refundable. The Hotel is spotlessly clean and we had a fabulous stay and would book again.
My friend and I stayed here August 2005 and found this Hotel to be ideally situated as far a getting around. The Hotel itself was well maintained and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was good value for money and very varied. A lot of Spanish families were staying here then. I would certainly recommend this Hotel.

The staff were very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. The food was good and the restaurant staff very professional. The rooms were small but adequate. The room coup have done with a little more comfortable and relaxing seats to sit in. The holiday in itself was value for money and would recommend this hotel for a pampering and relaxing hotel to use.

Lovely hotel, very friendly staff. Superb sea views from rooms but it is mainly for spanish visitors. There was nothing written in English anywhere and all the meals were typically spanish. The location is excellent for 'younger' couples but for elderly the hotel is difficult to access as it is uphill and airport transfers drop off a good distance away from the hotel making dragging your suitcases very hard work! Not for those with walking difficulties.
