"The Claverton House Hotel is a lovely, small hotel with good parking, with wonderful grounds and is well located for trips to Battle, Hastings and the Carr Taylor Vineyard. Our family group spent one night in 2 luxury rooms - modern, spacious with king size beds. We had an enjoyable dinner - a good selection of menu options at reasonable prices - and excellent freshly cooked Full English breakfasts. The service by the generally young staff was efficient and friendly. "

"On arrival all staff were showing great excitement which my wife was not aware of what was in store for her. The room was perfectly set for her birthday. It showed the staff (Viv) went above & beyond to decorate the room that brought joy to my wife on her birthday. Thanks to all the team and management for welcome us with such a fantastic experience. "We had a lovely stay. The staff could not have done enough for you. The place is kinda old fashioned but i think that part of its charm. The food served in the restaurant in the evening and for breakfast was very high quality and delicious. The staff were wonderful. Apparently the (waiting) staff dont really get many tips, so you may want to tip separately rather at the end of the stay to ensure they get it. It wasnt clear. One little negative, the room was way too hot and took hours to cool with the window open (and i feel the cold). The place is dog friend ly which is nice. "
