"Overall - very good and would recommend. The DVD remote wasn’t working, but the chap was straight on to it, and the next guests will have a new remote. The breakfast sausages had a burnt layer on them, but we think that’s the way they fry them. Nice people and great accommodation. "

"Nice staff, although weren’t flexible about cancelling or changing the reservation when asked. Area is nice and close to the town. Room and bathroom were nice. The bed was annoying for a couple, as it was supposed to be a superior double room but the bed was two single beds put together. The bed sheets were supposed to hold the two beds together, but it didn’t really work well. Sleeping together would mean one of you would end up sinking into the gap in between the two beds. "Woodlands was welcoming on arrival. Room was comfortable and clean with usual kettle, coffee, tea. Good size tv. Breakfast was really good. Great choice of cold and hot food (cooked perfect). Nothing is too much trouble. Close to shops etc. Would definitely stay again in this great location."

"The owner opened the door for me and she knew my name ! Couldn’t do more for me I felt I had everything I needed ! "What a find! This beautiful hall is just perfect. Fabulous location with peacocks and lovely trails to walk in the extensive grounds. Our room had a super king bed and usual facilities. If your expecting the Ritz go somewhere else if you want cheap clean and comfort go to the aysgarth hotel. Location is perfect 2 minute walk to beach or central pier. Owners couldn't do enough for you will definitely go back there again."
