My family and I visited Barcelona for the first time, and the location of Hostal Argo was perfect. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting.

Dear guest ,Thanks for you review . There is a central AC in the hostel which we can control for every room with own temperture . During your stay the temperture in the rooms was between 20º-21º degree ,but if the guests need AC it is not problem for us , only you have to ask on the reception,opened 24 hours . Regards,

Good for the price point
Great if you are just looking for a place to stay but the rooms are noisy and there is no air conditioning or fan making the room very hot. Bed was good and the bathroom fine too. For the price point nothing more can be expected. The front desk staff are very polite and helpful

The location was very nice. Walkable to certain attractions and bus/metro station. They have a barcelona map printed out. And The staff offered and showed us on the map all the attractions and how to go there. That was really nice of her. They said we have to pay the city tax in cash. You can leave the luggage there if you arrived before your check-in or after you check-out. The housekeeping was nice and did a good job. However, I felt that the bed sheets or towels need to be more clean or they are worn- out.

Located in the Eixample area, you're surrounded by historic modernist architecture with two of Gaudi's masterpieces - Casa Batllo and Casa Mila - just a short walk away. This isn't the busy/touristy area like the Gothic Quarter but there are two metro stations closeby will conveniently take you to the Gothic Quarter and other tourist hotspots. Surprisingly good tapas restaurant, Bar But, just over 10 minutes away walking.

I love the location. Walkable to the metro( paseo de garcia). Lots of bakeries, eateries closeby. Receptionist Emilia is cheerful and very helpful The only think i dislike for sure is the air conditioner is controlled downstairs. We inly had 2 out of 6 nights that it was comfortable, 4 nights was not restful coz it was hot .

Excellent hotel for a Barcelona adventure!
Wonderful place! Desk staff was helpful and friendly, room had a gorgeous view, hotel is close to all the major Barcelona attractions. I will definitely stay here again if and when I return to the city!

We really enjoyed our stay at Hostal Argo! The hostal is in a perfect location to explore Barcelona on foot. We had a beautiful balcony view and were happy with our stay.

It was a lovely stay in a great area, walking distance to many big sites and close to the metro. The 4 person room was very spacious, only downside was that it was a bit cold. Otherwise a great stay and very friendly staff that gave us a delicious restaurant recommendation!

The staff was friendly. The location was decent. It was clean. The wifi is slow half the time and there isn’t much noise barrier. The place echos so noise is carried to your room if someone opens the window or talks in the hallway, you can hear it.

Wi-fi didn’t reach the fourth floor - couldn’t get online my whole stay. Also, payment system was unnecessarily confusing - I booked a non-refundable room, but instead of taking the whole rate when I booked or when I stayed, they took multiple partial deposits of different amounts in advance, and then told me I had to pay 60+ euros in cash at check-in

They canceled my reservation without any notice, we had to spend half a day looking for another place to stay. Very inconvenient. They couldn’t even find the manager to give a reason of the cancelation and don’t have any rooms available

Nice, fairly quiet place to stay in Barcelona. The hotel is in a very nice, not terribly touristy neighborhood with great public transportation to the airport and in walking distance to most sights. The room was towards the courtyard and very quiet in this busy neighborhood. Awesome restaurants nearby. Rooms are quite small but very clean and pleasant.

We booked on Orbitz, but they told us they do not work with Orbitz. The property insisted on paying for room with cash. It was a real hassle. So be prepared. Furthermore, we booked here for the luggage storage, but in actuality they just leave your bag in the lobby/ hallway. Otherwise, the room is very clean and centrally located with nice views.

Nice and cosy
We were in Barcelona just after Christmas, so there were a lot of tourists and the prices were a little inflated. The hotel is still quite new and located in an old redecorated house. They were very creative with the design of the rooms and made the most of the limited space. The very high ceilings and mirrors make the room feel bigger than it actually is. It is all quite tastefully done. There is a small common room/kitchen on the first floor with a microwave oven, an electric kettle, and a water fountain. The elevator is very slow, and do was the wi-fi. We stayed for three nights and the room was done after the first night, but not the second one (not that we expected it to be done at all).

The location is great, the hotel is good, only the bathroom is a bit non functional. The sink is too narrow (you can even put a toothbrush on it) and there is no space do hang a soap or a shampoo while you are taking a shower. Despite of that, everything was good.
