Great value, very clean and friendly. Complimentary breakfast was an added bonus albeit the layout was cramped so avoid crowds. Would return. We stayed in the rooms set off from main building - Loved that location! Very pretty.

room was very clean with new bathroom fixtures ,spectacular views of the bay, staff helpful, pool very clean, hotel was quiet, grounds well kept with deer grazing on lawn at night - probably the most relaxing part of our stay in Maine - less than 5 min from from town with places to eat right next door with great breakfast and ice cream

The beds were comfortable and it was great to have free WIFI. There's a supermarket in the adjoining lot, which was convenient for snacks and essentials. The continental breakfast is really a full breakfast with hot items. Great coffee and the best scrambled eggs I've had in a long time. A nice touch: the housekeeper carefully positioned my kids' stuffed animals on the pillows each time she made up the beds. It made the room feel more like home.

The staff was friendly, the continental breakfast was perfect, and the hotel was in a great location to both Bar harbor and Acadia National Park!

See my comments above - We were very happy here with a family of 5 - The price was very good for the time of year (mid summer). It is not fancy and Route 1 is right there - but with AC in room it was VERY quiet (ask for a room with no one above you ). Room 11 was right near the entrance but was dead quiet and the woman said - people worry about this room being near the entrance (for quiet) but it is one of their quietest rooms. When I searched the web for this place there was one negative review and I found that that review was not for this hotel but was listed under the Jaspers reviews (someone should edit that out). Overall, not fancy but clean and adequate and beds were comfortable - the staff were helpful and friendly.

This is an old facility, but very well maintained. It was clean, comfortable, and exactly what you need located right at the entrance of Acadia National Park.

Hotel is clean and price is good. Room space is good. Considering the price and location and the level of the hotel, it's a nice place.

I was worried when I read some of the bad reviews but it was definitely better than I thought. Yea, this isn't a fancy, 5 star hotel but it's a very cute motel. The facilities are more on the old side and probably should be updated but for the price they're charging, they aren't making much/enough to update them. The rooms are homely. You open the shades, get a nice ocean view. There's a table and chair in the room facing the window and I enjoyed eating breakfast there with the ocean view. There's a pool and a jacuzzi that's not crowded at all. The pool and jacuzzi also face the ocean. It also came with free coffee, fridge, microwave, and TV with cable.

The place was clean and comfortable. They had new rugs, TVs, freshly panted walls an a very bright and clean feel to the place. Pool and hot tub area was well kept and clean. The new owner has done an amazing job at fixing the hotel up. Truly worth staying at again!

Room was absolutely fine. Everything clean and well organized. And mentioned above the staff which indeed includes the cleaning lady were very friendly and accommodating - always a big smile and a "What can we do for you" in a very positive manner.
