“Sanur experience”
Not given Non-Smoking Room, which had been specifically requested. Also, not given top floor. Booking made in February 2011, visit was booked for November 2011 but the hotel did not seem to know what exactly had been booked. They did apologise afterwards but we spent three weeks in a room with a large covered balcony and felt shut-in. The room also smelt badly of smoke when we first arrived. Outside the grounds were spectacular but we thought the hotel itself and the rooms would benefit from an upgrade as the last renovation was twenty years ago.
“would go back tomorrow..”
great position,a bit exspensive to have a massage, much cheaper in sanur. They would sell more meals if they were more competative with the town.Fantastic gardens. Upgrade to Regency club rooms if you can as the benifits are really worth it. Join the hyatt members club, more benifits.Free to join.Cannot wait to book again and enjoy.
“Amazing”
The staff are absolutely gorgeous! They treat you like royalty from the moment you arrive, and swiftly attend to any requests. The location is ideal for those who are after a relaxing trip. There are many nice restaurants within walking distance to choose from.
“Friendliest, loveliest people”

“Great Value for Money”
I stayed with my wife and adult son here for our annual family vacation and found it to be a great value for the money. It was a great experience and we found service and hotel conditions to be excellent. The beach location was wonderful and the gardens and grounds of the hotel great for exploring and relaxing. The hotel sponsored restaurants are good in quality, but we found that there were a plethora of excellent restaurants with great food for much less money within a very close walking distance. This hotel was a great choice for us and we were extremely satisfied.
“Standard American chain, clean, nice - not unique to Bali”
I reserved the Bali Hyatt because of the wonderful reviews I read on TripAdvisor, Expedia, Hotels.com, etc. I was unimpressed with the hotel. Yes, it was clean and well kept; however, in my opinion it was not unique to Bali in any respect. I felt like I was at an American resort in Hawaii. I stayed in other hotels during my stay on Bali and Lombok and found them to be far more authentic and comfortable.
“Lovely, relaxing stay.”
Fantastic stay. Very relaxing. The staff are very friendly and obliging.
“Loved Bali and the Hyatt”
We just returned from 6 nights at the Bali Hyatt and we loved it. The hotel is very Balinese with incredible grounds. We visited Nusa Dua Hyatt and found it and other hotels there very sterile. We could have been in Hawaii. We had a couples spa experience which was wonderful. Breakfasts were very nice and the staff was great. We ate dinner mostly offsite and found lots of restaurants within walking distance. The pizza at Massimos is great.
“Yes on all counts. JUST GO!”
Whilst the hotel is a little dated, the rooms were clean and well serviced. The gardens and pool area's are absolutely stunning...if only we could grow plants like that in dry ole Perth. The grill restaurant and the pizza bar served up some great food, and at reasonable prices, not Bali cheap, but not home or Nusa Dua expensive! The breakfast buffet was OK but not as extensive a choice as some other places we have been to....my advice...skip it and get room service for breakfast...Nasi Goreng on your balcony over looking the gardens with a fresh orange juice...do you need anything else in life? The location of the Hyatt is a real draw card. Beach one side - vibrant street the other. Shops, bars and restaurants, all the stuff you will find in Kuta but without the aussie crowd invasion. It is a perfect balance between the bussle of Kuta and the sterility of Nusa Dua. The hotel restaurants are great, but add to that excellent restaurants all in walking distance. Must go to the Kayu Manis and the indian restaurant to the left of the hotel (facing the street)...argh, and the coldest and probably cheapest bintang is a little shanti beach bar that has a stuffed blue monkey as a mascot. Turn left facing the beach and it is not far off the hotel premise. Hiring a bike from the hotel and riding along the foreshore was an absolute hoot, not in the best nick but at $12 for two for the day a good deal. No need to leave Sanur, you get the best of everything.
“Perfect, if you don't go off the reservation.”
The hotel itself is beautiful, well-maintained, cleanly and very relaxing. The staff was very attentive, and was cleaning our room 2-3 times a day. The spa is simply fantastic. One thing I would note is that if you're going with a friend, be prepared for most hotels in Bali to assume you're a couple (even if you're the same gender - my friend and I were both women and addressed as Mr. and Mrs even though clearly neither of us was a man), and you'll be paired up for "romantic" spa treatments unless you let them know you'd prefer otherwise. We loved our stay at the Hyatt, but preferred other parts of Bali for exploring and shopping. Sanur is not a good place for either.

Sanur, Indonesia: The leisurely pace of Sanur makes it a popular choice for families and those after a taste of the quiet life. A broad range of accommodation is represented along the coastline, which curves gently around a lagoon protected by a spectacular coral reef. The sheltered nature of the beach makes it ideal for swimming and a host of water sports. Regular public transport runs to and from Denpasar well into the night.
