“Won't Go Back to Bakersfield”
Immediately upon entering you see a huge crack in the lobby floor - somewhat disconcerting and some strange people who seem to be loitering around the lobby. While we were there one day doing our laundry a few blocks away we came back to find the one and only elevator being repaired. We had to walk up three flights of stairs with our laundry. It took a couple of hours to fix. The complimentary breakfast was simply frozen pastries which were defrosted and the basics with only one toaster. Management seemed to try to keep everything clean but they need to make the atmosphere more appealing. Neighborhood is awful! Slingo's next door was good - for a greasy spoon!!
“Great value hotel”
Passed through Bakersfield on our way to Yosemite and stayed in two very large, well appointed rooms in this three year old hotel. Whilst Holiday Inns can always be relied on to provide very comfortable accommodation, this hotel offers excellent value, good service and a very generous, fresh, breakfast. Well worth staying here if you re in the vicinity of Bakersfield.

Nice hotel, right off the freeway, so it was really easy to find. The hotel staff were polite and very courteous. The rooms are AMAZING for such an affordable price. Highly recommended.

Stayed here on a business trip, and I will say you will not be disappointed. just a few items. the main issue is that this place is on 99 and I got a room in the back of the hotel. if you book here request the road side and you will not have to hear freeway noise all night. The neighborhood is pretty run down so this hotel does not really fit in with the surroundings. however, there is a freeway onramp right next to the hotel which made getting around very easy. The rooms are great and for the price I will always stay here in the future.

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved this hotel. We have stayed there 3 times now and every time it's beautiful and the service is amazing!
“Bakersfield California”
We were caught in a dust storm and stopped here for the night. The staff was very friendly. The room was beautiful. The only downfall was that neither of the two treadmills worked in the fitness room and the bike was very squeeky. We did not use the pool since it was terrible weather. We went to the Buck Owens Crystal Palace for dinner...within walking distance...very interesting, large portions. This hotel is near the highway, but we didn't hear the traffic in our room. The television was better than at the Sheraton...nice clear picture.
