Super Reception from great staff
Very warm and friendly welcome. The hotel has a lovely lobby bar and overall a very nice place to stay for crashing overnight for example. Excellent location by the train station and parking also available for cars.

My mom and I were in town for a family event and spent 2 nights at ibis Baar Zug. We had a a great stay. The hotel is located conveniently right outside the train station. Check-in was quick and efficient. Our room was spotless and quiet with a comfortable mattress and no single-use plastics. The breakfast buffet was delicious. We will definitely stay there again next time we will be in the area.

The front desk host, Tamara is a friggin’ GEM. She made the place so worth staying at and hospitable. I would stay here again just for her services. Its very convenient to get to and from as the hotel is literally in front of the station. It is also not a long ride to zurich or down to zug/cham. Pretty central location

Amazing value for a ‘basic’ hotel
Staff were really friendly and helpful. Room was clean and plenty of space for one. Breakfast was basic, but there was plenty of choice and no reason to go hungry. Amazing value for a basic hotel. Great location for both trains and buses.

Very conveniently located at the train station with many quick connections to Zug and the surrounding region. The hotel is clean and has the standard equipment of an ibis hotel, which means there are no negative surprises but that it lacks a local flavour.

Perfect for working in Zug as very simple bus departing right in front of the hotel works as a brilliant link. Also train station being right in the front of the airport means very smooth journey. Overall fantastic hotel.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff, very clean hotel, very attentive. We were travelling with a baby and they gave us a bigger family room which was great of them and made our stay that extra comfortable and special. Will be gladly back again

It's a very small hotel compared to what I'm used to in North America. But it is well maintained, very clean and right across the street from the train station do it's a perfect location. There are also grocery stores in walking distance

OK, but room for improvement.
Hotel was fine for an 'affordable' stay. Air conditioning in the room was good. My only 2 gripes are there was no tea / coffee making facilities in the room, and breakfast was quite a let down (not much left after 9:00am and the little bit of scrambled egg was cold and soggy)

For singles and couples only
Stayed three nights for the third time in three years. Good value but we will be trying a new space for some variety in the future. That being said, really for couples or singles only, rooms are tiny and bathrooms are even smaller. The convenience of the location (across from the train station) and next to a market are really big pluses.

Good Value for Baar/Zug
Best value for Baar/Zug area. Across the street from the train station. There is a underground parking garage as well for $18.00 USD a night, very convenient.There is also a Co-op Market (large chain in Switzerland) next to the hotel with a restaurant, extremely convenient as well. Rooms are tiny for American standards but do the job. NOT for families, too small. Poor Wi-Fi.

The hotel is clean and quiet. The service is excellent. Rooms are on the small side, but comfortable and this also isn't the kind of place you probably go for a week-long stay. Breakfast is good, but is overpriced for just a continental breakfast if you ask me. The location is SUPER convenient-- right across the street from the local train station. I never heard any noise, but could be on the track in 3 minutes to take a train to Zug (6 minutes by train away) and Zurich (25 minutes). If you come to Baar, I'd recommend!
