“Great but a steep walk uphill at the end of the day”

I had a fantastic stay here. Great food. I used the spa which was great and very relaxing. Lots to do around Auckland and very helpful staff. Would definitely go back.

“Efficient, clean, well managed hotel but internet irritates”

Clean, quite stylish, staff curteous and very responsive. Sorted out my mistake in my booking in a few minutes. Restaurant good, didn't charge extra for proper coffee. Principal irritation is internet....in this day and age they still charge for it notwithstanding the premium room rate. At the $70/night backpackers' it is free!

“A Nice Hotel”

“Great pleasant stay”

It was a wonderful hotel with great friendly staff and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Area recommendations

The area was great however we would of personally preferred to stay closer to the port/viaduct area.

Getting around

We walked and caught the train it was very easy to get around the the britomart trains were awesome and punctual.

“Would Consider Again”

I would consider staying here again but there were some basic errors I thought unacceptable of a hotel that claims to be "five star". No Bathrobes in the room unless you ask for them, yet complimentary slippers. Mini Bar not updated after last guest left, had to ask for it to be stocked properly. Basic cleanliness of the room i.e. skirting board had had tea slopped down it in an obvious and visible place yet not picked up by cleaner. So why would i consider staying again you ask? Great staff, very friendly and accommodating, good fitness facilities and pool, and a great restaurant with five star quality food. Just grab a taxi if venturing downtown at night, area looked quite unsavoury after dark.

“An excellent central city stay”

We werent sure what to expect when we booked the Pullman, as we hadnt heard of it before. It is the former Hyatt hotel and is in a central location at the top of Princes Street, ideally situated for Queens Street shopping and restaurants and also the Vector Arena - a 10 minute walk away. The reception area was very welcoming and efficient. Concierge was helpful and knowledgeable about local restaurants and we felt very comfortable staying at this hotel. the bedroom was on the 11th floor looking out on to the harbour and Devonport beyond. The room was quiet, clean and beautifully furnished. The king bed was very comfortable and we had an excellent night's sleep. We would certainly recommend this hotel and hope to stay there again on our next trip to Auckland.

“Overall Good Experience”

Although the rooms were small, this hotel was overall a good place to stay. Fantastic service, lovely interiors and quiet location. Another downside was that, while the location is gorgeous being across from parklands and the University, there was no where quick and easy to walk to for dinner.

“Made our short stay "that much better"”

Cannot write enough of this Hotel,we check in early as we had a birthday to attend around 1pm.(check in was suppose to be 3pm). The service was excellent from the valour parking to the front reception. You might need to check what is in your room as we did not know that we had a bar fridge under the TV cabinet not that we drink but we got stuck into the peanuts and chips. We had the excecutive breakfast which we thought was a bit expensive, but that include canopy meals in the evening and free internet usage. My wife was happy so in all I was happy as well. Would my wife and I return again a big "Yes"

Area recommendations

The Auckland CBD is hard to beat as it's walking distance to everything. although please be aware that it's bulit on a lot of Hills and you have to have good walking shoes. Everything is centred around the Casino "Sky City" So anything close to the casino is ideal.

All year round but if your budget minded then the low season air fares.

Getting there

We flew with "Emirates Airline" love this airline,love the service, love the food onboard. Just love it.We would only fly with them because of the service they provide. Did I say I love this airline

What to pack

Lots of warm clothes,scarffs,and a good warm jacket or coat.
