The property was super comfortable, and clean, the bath was new, the location was near everything, we really appreciate the parking lot. I would only say that you need to coordinate the check in 24 hs before arrival, because if you arrive after 4pm there will be no one at the reception and you need physical keys to enter into the property.

The Lodge was exactly what we expected. Very clean and perfect for our 2 night stay. It was just my wife and I but there was enough room for two more in the upper loft which is quite spacious. We elected to stay in the murphy bed in the living room because the stairs to that lower level were easier to climb than the ladder to the loft but the loft was a great space. Our host was very helpful with our late check-in. Check out as as simple as leaving the keys at the office desk. We'll definitely be back.

The location is wonderful. The room size is quite comfortable with sofa, chair and dinning table. The property and facilities are very old. The bed is too soft. The kitchen is very nice with everything one needs. No coffee or tea bag however. Bathroom is clean but without shampoo. The receptionist (manager?) was very nice and helpful.

This is a very average property that has an early 10am checkout, with a manager who'll loudly bang on your door to vacate. Nice customer service! I'll pass next time.

We had given this guest over an hour of additional time to checkout before knocking, then gave them more time after talking with them. We wish we could give everyone as late of a check out as they like, but we must also consider the guests who will be arriving, and the time it takes to thoroughly clean the rooms between reservations.

The first room they put us in smelled of smoke. The manager sent someone to clean it again, which improved the situation but didn't solve it completely. He moved us the next morning and the second room was much better. He was as helpful as he could be. Off-season construction did not help. Di not provide a warm, fuzzy experience.

Overall was a nice room. My only complaint, being 6'2" and 220lbs was that the shower stall was tight. I needed to leave the bathroom to change my mind. Other than that one small gripe, it was a very nice stay and the staff was very pleasant.

Everything was amazing, except for the smell :(
The space was great for my wife and I. Within walking distance and a well stocked kitchen. The only thing that we were not happy with was the smell. Not sure if it was the carpet but we had to have the sliding door open to get fresh air (and a scented candle). Because it was the cheapest option we could find we let the smell go.

Cute Condo With Great Views!
We loved our stay at Shadow Mountain Lodge. It was nicer than the pictures. We were expecting one room with a Murphy bed, but hat we got was three unique levels with a spectacular view. Management made sure we were able to access our condo even after closing which is when we arrived. We didn’t get to use the outdoor heated pool, but it was very nice and clean. The location was perfect. We didn’t drive anywhere the whole time we stayed. We walked to town and to great walking/hiking trails. Everything was so convenient. I can’t wait to visit again and I will definitely stay here again.

Nice little place
Everything was great after we found the murphy bed in the living room and realized we wouldn't have to climb a ladder to a bedroom with a 4' ceiling. The location is great, the room itself was perfect for us, and all for less than I though I would have to pay in a place like Aspen. Would stay again.

Aspen Mountain Retreat
The condo was outstanding. Spacious, beautifully furnished, and wonderful large balcony with mountain views. Heated pool and sauna. Laundry room on site. Check in process was a breeze with Anders. Unit contained a loft sleeping quarters with queen bed off entry/mudroom. Beautiful spacious bathroom with nice shower. Full kitchen with small table and chairs and granite bar with bar stools. The bar overlooked the living room with queen Murphy bed. The living room was always basked in light from the large glass sliders that opened to the balcony. Highly recommended. Walking distance to everything downtown and right on the side of the mountain. Very quiet.

Spring break getaway
The condo was more spacious than expected and was adequately equipped with cookware etc. It was in a quiet part of town but walking distance to downtown and near shuttles to the ski areas. The pool was a nice temperature too. The kids (11 and 13) really enjoyed the loft but the ladder would be too steep for younger ones. The mountain view was an added bonus. A great place and value all around and would recommend for others.

Great spot in a perfect location. It’s not exactly a hotel per say, in that staff are not in site 24 hours a day. Our only wish is that they would have provided shampoo and conditioner, as we didn’t think to bring them since it was advertised as a hotel.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay. It is true that we are not a hotel, but of the categories Expedia and its subsidiaries list properties under, hotel is the closest to what we are. Though our staff are not always present at the property there is always a number where someone can be reached if you require assistance.

Everything we needed - comfort and convenience - at a reasonable price. The location is within walking distance to town and a bus stop to the different ski mountains is blocks away. The loft area has a low ceiling, the kitchen is fully equipped, and the pool was nice and hot.

Great location, clean and well maintained. Much nicer than the pictures. Loft area with very low ceilings and can imagine it would difficult to use for adults, but the unit can easily accommodate a large group. 10 minute walk to slopes or 1 block from bus stop. Perfect place for our stay with reasonable rates.

Great location, nice rooms much larger than a hotel room. Plenty of free parking close to rooms. Full kitchen with all the necessary items for cooking. Maid service only once since check in, we were there for 4 days. No shampoo or body wash, soap was provided. Never saw an on site manager or desk employee in 4 days, check in was done by an envelope outside of the office with your name on it.

Thank you very much for the review. If your Do Not Disturb sign is on the door, we will not provide maid service. As with the industry standard, we provide daily service(trash take-out, dish clean-up, paper or towel re-stocking). Sheet re-stocking is provided mid-week with week long reservations. I have been pushing to provide shampoo/conditioner, so hopefully your review will help push this upgrade. We have an on site manager that lives at the property and is always on call. Our office hours are typically from 9am-5pm. Being that we have a small staff, sometimes the on duty manager is not in the office, but in the field addressing pressing matters. We hope to see you again and make your next visit even better!

This place is great. Clean, helpful staff, and walk to Ajax or the bus route to Snowmass and Higlands. Don’t be fooled by the low price. It is good, and it is true. Icon pass holders should visit Aspen and enjoy the mountains.

Shadow Mountain Heaven
I am very happy with my experience at Shadow Mountain Lodge and will definitely be staying there again as soon as I can get back to Aspen. The customer service at the lodge is amazing - they went out of their way to accommodate me in terms of a late checkout so that I wouldn't have to worry about booking for an extra night. Also, the kitchen in the room was very functional so I was able to make breakfast and dinner as desired. The lodge is also located on a quieter street but still walking distance to everything in Aspen city, including City Market, the grocery store.

Close to aspen mass. Inside of unit is very nice.
Inside was great, 2 bathrooms and a loft with full kitchen and step down living room. Great location not far from the slopes (about 20-30 min walk). Outside looks like a motel but it’s deceptive. Would stay again. Unit 10.
