“Very pleasant and very nice hotel; good value for money.”

We had a very pleasant stay at the Holiday Inn Express.

Dining

We ate at Rancho Pancho's Mexican restaurant, just around the corner from the Holiday Inn. Food was excellent as was the service. I would recommend others consider this restaurant.

“not impressed”

was told we could check in at 11 oclock to get ready for a wedding after travelling from aberdeen to dundee holiday inn express was told to get ready in the toilets

“Great location but hard to get to with construction”

The hotel was in a great location but construction (August 2011) makes it difficult to get to. Great breakfast. Many restaurants and bars nearby as its near the Dundee downtown area. Close to the port. Good value for money paid.

“Just fine”

Stayed here for one night whilst visiting friends in the city and hotel was everything i expected. Clean, comfortable, good location and good value for money. Unfortunately did make it down for breakfast and only negative is that check out is 11, not 12, could have done with the extra hour which seems to be the norm.

“Clean and modern hotel, but poor breakfast and noisy location”

It's a modern and clean hotel, with very nice design of the rooms. However, the so called "breakfast buffet" had a very poor selection of food, and was dissapointing. My room was comfortable as such, but it was located next to a major road and was noisy.

“looked brand new”

Altho open I believe about 2 years this still looked brand new. Breakfast was ready from 6AM and included warm croisants toast (you made yourself ) all juices , scrambled egg sausages bacon . All fresh Great value for money . Little bit of traffic noise if you are a light sleeper. Parking after 6pm free until 8am . Staff really helpful with info on eating etc .

“Good hotel, need to improve breakfast”

Nice hotel, excellent location in the centre of Dundee. Car parking in the nearby multi-storey was easy and inexpensive. Reception staff pleasant and helpful. Rooms were basic, but well maintained and clean. Only issue was with breakfast service- it was very busy and the hotel was clearly understaffed- nobody clearing tables, and as soon as food was arriving in the self service area, it was gone! I actually felt sorry for the one member of staff that I saw, he clearly looked harassed!

“Super Location and Super Staff”

Great location, super helpful staff. The hotel has everything you need and nothing you don't need. Room had view over the Tay. Parking in Gellavy St car park just round the corner from the front door; where 3rd floor has bridge to the hotel. They do a voucher to cover you to 12.00 noon next day or it is free 6.00pm to 8 am.

“Disappointing Weekend Away”

Parking with provided by the hotel however at a cost of £7.50 per day which was failed to be mentioned, stayin at this hotel for a long period of time would be very costy especially if you are not planning on using your car to travel around Dundee. On arrival at the hotel I was double charged for my room, this caused me to go into my over draft and when I phoned to explain this to the guy at the hotel he was very rude and was refusing to take any responsibility for the payment the bank was now charging me despite the fact it was his fault I went into my overdraft. It also took about 7 days before the money was returned to me. I wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone.
