"First time in Pittenweem. The flat was small but we didn’t need anything bigger. Space had been used carefully and was well furnished. When the wood burning stove got going it made for a cosy experience. Pleasant seafront area nearby and Anstruther is only half a mile or so away. St. Andrews is about 20 minutes by car. Well worth a short visit (three nights for us)."

"Stayed here with my husband and two teens for a 2 night stay.. House was small but cosy and we were glad the heating was on when we arrived as weather was awful!. House is well equipped for a self-catering holiday; we did not cook much but there seemed to be plenty of utensils /pots and pans etc. Also very pleased to see more than 4 of each piece of cutlery /crockery (a pet-peeve is when places for four people only have 4 forks /plates etc -you need those extras!!!) Great location for beach...

"Idyllic is the word - Pittenweem is a lovely little fishing village and a great base for wider travel, and this house is just perfect - really well presented, large enough that you aren't all tripping over each other and very quiet. Sam is a terrific host too."

"We spent a great week in this lovely house. Communication from the owners was superb and they were welcoming and considerate - living next door they were on hand and supportive without ever intruding on our time or privacy. Wonderful selection of items in the kitchen and fridge to welcome us on arrival. Extraordinary views from the property. Good access to the local towns and area, and walks out of the door. The roads nearby are minor and require a little care, but nothing unusual. Brilliant...

"My wife and I absolutely loved spending the day reading and relaxing by the wood stove looking out over the fields, watching sunrises together. The check in process was easy, and everything was clean and extremely well maintained. The bed was fantastic to sleep on. We loved it so much we booked an extra night! It's a short drive to St. Andrews and a number of farm shops and other small towns. Well worth the stay!"

"We loved this location and thought the cottage was super cute. The fridge was dirty upon arrival and we messaged them via chat to let them know but they never messaged back, so we just cleaned it ourselves. The cottage is old which gives it character, but it could be cleaned better. There were many cobwebs and bugs in the cottage which wasn’t ideal. Overall, we would recommend the location but advise the owners to clean it better."

"We had a great stay in this cosy cottage, fab location with some nice walks from the village, and plenty to do in the nearby area. The children enjoyed watching the chickens, and we really enjoyed the eggs and fresh bread the owners kindly left us. A really relaxing weekend away"
