"We had a couple of minor issues which were immediately attended to by the innkeepers which resulted in a perfect, comfortable stay. We would definitely stay again and would certainly recommend the Cameron House as THE place to stay in Manteo."

"We had a wonderful weekend getaway to the OBX and once again stayed at the HGI (my wife's favorite). Our deluxe room was clean and comfortable. The only negative thing we can say is that the HVAC system in the room is extremely loud and that it disturbs our sleep when it turns on and off during the night. Raven at the front desk was friendly and efficient at check-in and when I reported a leaky sink in the room. Rates are a bit pricey, but so is everything else these days."

"The property was a mess. Housekeeping did not prepare the property for our arrival. With Covid they should have cleaned this property and prepared it for our arrival. I even found dirty dishes in the cabinet. "

"We liked the lake, water park and paddle boats for the kids. Beachwoods exclusive parking for beach access is nice. Need to get the big slide operational or replace with something else. Also the game room wasn't open which was disappointing for our kids. We stayed in one of the older models and it could really be felt in the floors and seen on the exterior. Overall it was a good experience with a few inconveniences."

"The property was beautiful! The only issue was the water bugs aka giant roaches...This property really needs to exterminate ASAP. But other than that it really was a nice place!"

"This place is awesome. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but this is a great place to stay. Very clean inside and the staff is great. Rates are great, especially in October which is when I go. The parking lot could be difficult if you're driving something big like an Expedition, but it's no problem for my car. I'm hesitant to review because I don't want it to be sold out next year! "
