"Oh, yeah, indeed, a nice hotel close to the beach."
What is more, the beach is excellent and virtually empty. However, the official town beach (the other - southern - side of the beach was better). Five min drive - or 30 min walk.
Lovely little village, sorry, town. Good local food. Nice little restaurants. Good price, tasty local dishes, all fresh ingredients.
Hotel itself: Perfect location, rooms above the ocean. Really friendly staff - the owner is a star! Perfect restaurant, delicious food.
Negative - well, the mattress and pillows could have been newer. Two pool table - well, for free tables they were not too bad, but...
My family of 5 (myself, wife and children 3, 6, and 13) stayed at this hotel from December 28, 2011 to January 5, 2012. We arrived on a 3 am flight and were able to get in with no problem. The overnight security guard checked us in and all I had to do was verify with the front desk the next morning and everything was cool. Housekeeping was awesome, desk staff was always friendly and helpful. As a traveling surfer, I am accustomed to not always receiving the warmest welcome at a hotel, but El Faro suites was exceptionally laid back. We were concerned with noise, being so near the airport, but it was never a problem. Food at the Tiki Bar was exceptional and Leo took good care of my family. The kids enjoyed the pool and I enjoyed the Hotel's proximity to Surfer's Beach. There is a fantastic bakery within walking distance with the best breakfast sandwiches on fresh bread. I think we had something to eat from there every day. I would recommeng El Faro Suites to anyone travelling to Aguadilla to surf or enjoy this quiet corner of the island with family. There's nothing super-fancy about the hotel, but it did have everything we needed and was always clean and friendly. Muchas Gracias to the staff for making our time in paradise special. PS - every room has a view of the ocean.
We loved the Lazy Parrott. Our room was large and comfortable, the grounds were very nice with great views and sunsets. The restaurant was excellent, we ate there both nights we stayed. The staff was great. If we go back to Rincon, this is where we will stay again.
Comfortable rooms fully furnished and equiped and of a good size. Quiet place to rest except for the a/c noise. Excelent facilities, and good service. For the whole family. NO night activities. But there are many restaurants and pubs nearby.
Definitiely I will repeat my visit.
