I loved most everything about my stay here except the noise level. It is only a short walk from central station. The staff is most accommodating. The breakfasts have something to please everyone and the dinners have been from good to excellent. But it is a bit noisy. I often hear water running in my third floor room, as if I am next to the laundry. You also have the car traffic and street cleaners at night, some nights louder than others. But I would book again.
We were greeted by very friendly staff upon arrival and they ensured all our needs were met. The room was clean with a nice sized bathroom which had a bathtub. Our room had a lovely balcony with a beautiful view of the mountains. The decor and artwork were lovely in the lobby and foyer areas. The gardens and pool area very beautiful and well maintained. The onsite restaurant offered dinner specials and the meals were excellent. A nice buffet at breakfast as well with the offer of American style if wanted. The hotel owners are on-site and friendly and interact with their guests. Internet and parking were important to us and both of these were provided with our reservation.Although located in the industrial side of Sulmona, it was quick and easy to drive into town. The location enabled us to explore the Abbruzzo region - Sulmona, Pratola Peligne, Introdacqua and L'Aquila. The receptionist provided us with maps and good directions. Overall, a wonderful hidden gem in Sulmona.
The hotel is very good, very nice furniture in the public places, beautiful gardens a huge design swimming pool.
I was on a business trip and booked this hotel to be relaxed for the meetings I had.
Good food in the restaurant, a good selection of wines on the card. A nice wellness centre. A very kind and helpful staff.
But we booked the wrong room. The room was the in contrast with all the rest. Even when it is a standard room. Small dark, nothing special concerning the furniture a bathroom with a very small shower, very difficult to get in because there is a handle outside so that you can't open one folding door completely. This is not a room for a 4 star hotel. Even when it is a standard room.
I visit a superior room and a luxury room and they are in harmony with the quality and price of the hotel.
Next time I will not book a standard room.

Checked in and were given a room type below the category we had paid for. Went down to front desk to explain and the lady at reception said that is all she had. The hotel was 10% full at most! it was a midweek stay in October. When I pushed and said you are completely booked? She rolled her eyes and opened her computer and then tried to upsell me another room. When I told he we were not willing to pay more, she bargained her price down by 15 bucks. At first saying there us nothing she can do and two minutes later we are bargaining for the room price. Very disappointing. Rooms were small, old furniture and outdated. You could hear everything, traffic, the restaurant downstairs and people walking the halls and walking in their room. Worst night of sleep. Only positive if this place was the breakfast and waitresses in the breakfast area, such nice and sweet staff. I would not recommend, go somewhere else.
