"Very pleasant hotel with beautiful rooftop terrace"
We were very pleased with the Jaiwana Haveli - the rooms were clean, comfortable and reasonably spacious. The hotel is in a good location, nestled in amongst the windy streets of old Udaipur. For the price we paid, the hotel was very good value for money. A clear highlight was the rooftop terrace, available for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with stunning views over the lake and very decent food. Unlike several nearby hotels, the Jaiwana has no rooftop pool, but you can use a neighbouring hotel's pool as a guest for just a few dollars. Overall very pleasant stay.
The hotel had a taxi meet us at the Udaipur train station at 9:30 p.m. The taxi was there with our name placard ($11.00).
The service, food, and room was perfect. Really, deluxe. They also let us stay 8 extra hours on check out day for a half day charge. You really need 3 nights in Udaipur.
Nice stay over here. Staff is always eager to help the people and very awesone. Rooms gives the feel that u living in a heritage hotel. Good food quality and very very helpful staff. Awesome view from the rooms too. Whenevr i been to udaipur I always prefer to stay at the same hotel.

I had booked a deluxe room & had requested Mr. Sathya Dev Singh Ashiya to allot me a room on the upper floor with the view of the lake. He had kept up his promise & we really enjoyed a great view of the lake. We could see the Lake Palace hotel, enjoyed a laser show at Jagmandir from the room. The sunset watched from the room was unforgettable. The only problem is proper food served in the hotel since there is no full fledged restaurant & the choice of whatever breakfast & other meals is very limited. However there are quite a few restaurants at walking distance.
Hotel staff need to be improved. No one is available especially in the early morning & we had to wait till beyond 7.15 am for a cup of tea.
Very nice family hotel. All the tourist attractions are within walking distance. The best parts are:
Excellent view from the roof top
Candle light dinner
Food to relish and satisfy taste buds
Pool to enjoy with family
After a stressful start to our visit to Udaipur, due to hotels inability to send transport to meet us at the bus station at 1am, the rest of our stay was pleasant and restful with plenty of highlights. Having breakfast while watching kingfishers, chipmunks and the occasional monkey was a delight. As evening fell, the lights across the lake were so pretty and the food was delicious. The bungalows could do with some updating and the decor was unusual, and basic.
