We booked a "superior garden view room" but were placed in room 302 which had view of the beach/parking, I only realised the mistake after checkout, didn't help my overall underwhelmed impression of the hotel. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Easy access to the old city but the walking is mostly uphill. Pool was very small, only for dipping not for swimming."

Great views across the mountain on our balcony and friendly staff so no complaints. If you are looking for more luxury and facilities on tap, this may not be foe you, as there is no kettle, few plugs, no fridge, in the room and no restaurant on site etc, which in more modern hotels tends to come as standard these days. "This is not a luxury hotel, BUT if your interest is a calm "refuge" this is the place for you. It is located along the Restonica River. Grab a seat along the bank and take in the peace. The walls are a little thin. You can hear the people in the room next door taking a shower, but don't let that stop you from staying there. "A brilliant construction and location in the stunning gorge location. Lovely room and large patio to enjoy breakfast alongside the roaring river. Parking was manageable at the roadside, and the lift ideal between floors. The owner and waitress were charming and informative, but we were both startled and disappointed at the continuing grumbles from the receptionist, especially when asked about messages that my daughter had sent there."
