"We were given a lovely little lodge in courtyard with downstairs Tv area & bathroom and a mezzanine upper where the comfiest of beds were situated. The bathroom was beautiful, massive shower cubicle! The hosts were brilliant, even down to being shown which parts of the building were eldest & a centuries old stone winding staircase that was used by soldiers in the days of fighting over the English Scottish border. "The pub was great, cosy and food was fantastic as well as being reasonably priced. The staff are polite and very welcoming and provided lots of help throughout our stay. "Lovely hotel run by a lovely couple. Room was nice. Bar and restaurant modern. The evening meal was delicious. I had chicken burger and my partner lamb. There was 5 of us and all our meals were lovely. The owner sorry I never got her name was friendly and extremely accommodating. There was other family there too as it was for a wedding.
