"In France most restaurants close at 21:00. Odd but true. Because of cancellations at the Channel Tunnel we were delayed leaving the UK by 2 hours and arrived in Tennie at 21:30. Frederick the owner had prepared us a very pleasant meal with an extremely welcome bottle of Pomerol. We have a small dog who was also made very welcome. "Excellent stop on our way back to Calais, we travelled with a dog and although the hotel did not offer a bar or a restaurant they did recommend a restaurant that was dog friendly and also offered 10% discount. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast is available but we never opted for it. Coffee machine in reception did not work only negative"

"Unfortunately the rooms were not clean, the mirrors were filthy. The floor was so grubby I had to keep my shoes on. The shower was filthy. There were a lot of big black bugs in the room. The owner said they were crickets and all part of the countryside.. that’s fine I just don’t want to have to spend all night removing them from the bedrooms. There were at least 6 in our room The smell in the room was like an old school library, dusty and horrible. The bedrooms had a “theme” and to be honest...

"The service and cleanliness were good. However the rooms are so tiny you can’t even walk around the bed. The evening meal was so salty that it was inedible and also very expensive - €30 per head. The breakfast was a very poor - two croissants and a Luke warm cup of tea for €12 each. The room was freezing when we arrived and to get to sleep we needed duvets, blankets and we also layered clothing on top to stay warm. Our total cost for 1 night in a tiny freezing room with terrible food was...

"We had hoped to Eat here but had been delayed several hours at the Channel Tunnel and as a result we ate earlier as we knew the restaurant would be closed when we arrived. The breakfast was very good and having read the menu we hope to visit again on another trip. The view of the Etang from our room was nice. The room we had was comfortable and spacious."
