"It was off season, so parking was easy,5 minute walk up stairs. Staff very friendly and helpful."

"A delightful and eclectic decor and four resident case acting as social directors. Unfortunately in this very small town their restaurant is closed for dinner on weekend and the other hotel restaurants in town were limited in capacity to their own guests. The closure was due to staffing difficulties so I hate to point this out, but we ended up getting burgers at a local snack shop--and they were so busy it was an hour wait to pick up our order! Definitely stay here on a weeknight and clarify in...

"The area is beautiful and the building is very attractive. However, the corridors are gloomy and our bedroom, supposedly premium, can best be described as average. The swimming pool was clean and in good condition and there were plenty of comfortable sun loungers. We felt the room rate was higher than for comparable properties, particularly as breakfast was not included. Overall, rather disappointing."

"Ok hotel. It is clean and staff is welcoming. However the hotel has nothing special. The pool is very cold and we could not swim in it due to its temperature despite very warm weather. The breakfast is not worth taking as it is not particularly tasteful. We were asked everyday if our our room needed to be done which was a bit odd. Not sure if the towels were indeed changed. "

"Very handy stop 1 mile from motorway exit. Pool to cool off the family. Good size of room and bathroom with walk in shower. Food was exceptional for such a small place (@ 20 rooms). Set menu with 1/2/3 course options or à la carte. Breakfast has good choice of self service options, including hot dishes. Reception by owner and his wife as chef means they really are invested in your stay. Add this place to good stops on a drive to/from Spain."

"Super hotel a few minutes walk from the Cathedral. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the hotel itself is spotless. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice and at 10 euros, cheaper than other breakfasts we had over the week in France. I would heartily recommend this hotel "

"Après la surprise d'être hébergés non pas à l'auberge du Cantou mais dans un petit hôtel voisin du même propriétaire, nous avons apprécié cette étape : l'hôtel est vieux mais les chambres sont refaites à neuf. La nôtre était au 2ème étage, accessible par escalier raide en bois, spacieuse, très propre, les sanitaires impeccables et la vue surprenante sur la basilique voisine. Très bon diner typique auvergnat (truffade et Aligot) à l'auberge Cantou... et le lendemain matin, autre belle...

"I had booked this hotel just for one night to take some rest for the trip between Bordeaux and Lyon. The room was according to my expectations but breakfast was a very good surprise. Complete and well presented. Recommend the place. "

"Not sure what to say, it is an Ibis, as you would expect it is clean and tidy and everything works. The staff were very helpful. The location is on the edge of town, but it only takes a few minutes to get to the edge of town and find places to eat and drink."
