"Distanced from city center but steps away from bus"
We traveled from Paris on the TGV and arrived at Lyon Part Dieu where we bought a two day metro pass and took the B metro (Stade de Gerland) got off at the Saxe Gambetta stop and transferred to the D Metro to Gare de Vaise and took the 31 Bus to Jean Marcuit stop and walked across the street to the hotel. Might sound complicated but it was actually quite simple. The hotel is new, very clean and modern looking. The receptionist Francesca was awesome and very helpful in assisting us with planning our trip to Florence, Italy. The room was spacious and very comfortable with a great shower. The area around the hotel was excellent, it was right by the river which gave us a beautiful scenery for our morning run. The hotel restaurant served great food and the complementary buffet-style breakfast was very good- we made our own soft boiled eggs and they had fresh squeezed OJ. There is also a boulangerie 5 min walk from the hotel which serves great pastries and bread! (make a left out of the hotel). The trip into Lyon center was about 15 min by public transportation, which is easy to get to. I would highly recommend this Hotel and I would definitely return.
Our "room" was larger than anything we have had in England or France so far. The room actually had a separate bedroom & living room/kitchen area with lots of closet space. It was close to the Metro station, though we didn't find many restaurants nearby. Room was clean and bed was comfortable, our primary concerns. Kitchen area was equipped. They only cleaned once per week (we stayed 3 nights) which was fine with us since we kept it clean and don't mind using same towels for a few days, same as we would at home. We would stay here again if we were ever to come back to this area.
Modern and generally clean. Well located for business purposes but a bit out of the way for tourist attractions. Staff helpful and friendly, amenities good and a decent breakfast included in the price. Room was quite spacious but there were already one or two signs of wear and tear appearing despite the hotel being (reportedly) only about 9 months old.
