This is a really convenient place to stay. It is just a short walk down the hill from a very nice public beach where families would enjoy the sand and water. It is a short drive from any of the Laguna attractions and restaurants. The rooms have had an obvious very recent and modern renovation and they feel luxurious. Although the property is on the Pac Hwy the buildings are inset away from it so I heard no traffic noise. The proprietor is a super friendly guy who was very accommodating and is clearly committed to making this place a success. I can recommend without reservation.
The staff was wonderful, went out of their way to attend to everything that was needed. Had
lots of ideas for dining, etc. Our room was very comfortable and had a great view of the ocean.
We would come back to stay without hesitation. The cookies in the evening and the fabulous
croissants in the morning were delicious. Thank you to everyone involved in making our stay such a delightful experience.
It was a very nice, quaint room with all the amenities I needed. It was within walking distance to cafes and restaurants. The only thing the roomed needed was another lamp on the desk. It was a little dark. Otherwise, a perfect stay.
I took my family there for 3 days recently for my springbreak. I have a 1 yr old and 4 yr d and they both loved it. Room was clean, staff was great. It is a "historical" hotel so there was a difference in technology (ice was only located in one area on the first floor) and the water pressure was low. However we just needed a clean comfortable place to sleep and headed to the beach a day so it didn't bother is much. The sink was really small (a petal stool sink) so It was a little difficult to get ready but other than that it was a great stay. I loved the beach service or food and cocktails and kids food and drinks :) made it convenient and relaxing ! We will be back !!
We decided to stay here due to the close proximity to the Xterra Crystal Cove Trail race, and make this a mini runcation. Unfortunately, our race was postponed due to rain but when it's rescheduled, we'll be sure to stay here again.
Hotel is close to everything. It's an older hotel but very well maintained and cozy. Heather, the young lady at the front desk, was very professional, helpful and welcoming. We appreciated the free parking, internet and breakfast. The towels were soft and fluffy. There's a refrigerator and coffee maker in the room as well as a small patio. Oh and the bathtubs are deep for those who like to indulge in a relaxing bath.
