Wonderful breakfast

Very big room. Quiet location.

Loved the room … 5 star location. Travel tip - Google or Apple takes you right there. But, tough to find because we are looking for the big signs like a hotel. The Bellevue is right across the street and has a visible sign. Riva Luxury Rooms are lovely. You enter into a multi use hallway. There is a small plaque on the street. You enter into the Riva rooms and it turns beautiful!

Some of the rudest and most unwelcoming service I’ve experienced, especially disappointing for a 5-star property. I came to breakfast at 10:30, with breakfast served until 11. Around 11:20, while finishing my coffee outside, a male employee told me I needed to leave so they could prepare for lunch. I was the only guest outside, my plates had already been cleared, and the surrounding tables were clean and set. I felt genuinely unwelcome at a hotel I was paying to stay at. If guests cannot remain in certain areas after a specific time, that should be clearly communicated. Even more disappointing was an interaction with a front-desk employee. When we considered canceling a service we no longer needed, he told us we could book elsewhere but that it “wouldn’t be luxury,” which came across as condescending and unnecessary. When explaining the hotel’s deposit, he repeatedly described possible damage we could cause, including damage to the carpet or windows, even after I made it clear several times that I understood it was a damage deposit. I felt talked over and patronized. We also had consecutive reservations and were told we could remain in the same room, but our key was not activated for the second reservation, leaving us locked out after returning from a four-hour walk. At checkout, we waited 17 minutes for two takeaway coffees.
