Location great just off main spaces but not too busy. Room very well thought out - good really well-equipped kitchen area. Staff friendly and helpful. What more to say? Oh yes, no mugs/glasses in bathroom (had to use one from the kitchen!)

Truly an exceptional hotel. I grew up in the area and it has continued its history of providing an experience that excels (locals just call it “The Slieve”). The amenities are fantastic with the spa facilities, snooker room, drawing room for a peaceful morning. Breakfast in the main dining area with views of the Mounre Mountains is an experience itself. The property is located in city centre close to shops, restaurants, bars and station. The hotel is very basic, we were given a room which had a wet room. It was very basic and required a renovation and the floor took ages to dry. There was plenty of hot water. Our room was not cleaned or towels changed the three nights we stayed there. However I did notice on last day there was a hook for door to make room up. I didn’t realise it was there. There are no tea/coffee facilities in room but you can make a tea/coffee at reception. The two members of reception staff were very helpful.
