Great location, good accomodation

We were upgraded which was very unexpected but was very appreciated. It made our stay special. We loved everything about the hotel and the staff were particularly courteous and helpful. The restaurant was particularly great value and wonderful quality. There was ample parking and the location was ideal. Very quiet and peaceful.

Nice and central. Great selection for breakfast

Great stay, excellent central location.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious and clean. However, the main reason I chose this hotel was for the rooftop bar and restaurant, only to find it's closed on Sunday and Monday nights. I also paid $53 for breakfast (for two) because of the great reviews from others. However, the restaurant was closed for the public holiday, so instead we were given a voucher to have breakfast at Ibis, only a 2 min walk away. Unfortunately, the food and drink were awful, and the staff unhelpful. If I'd known the standard would be so poor, I'd have asked for a refund instead.

What a fantastic stay at The George! The room was cozy, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. I especially appreciated the gluten-free options available, which made my stay much easier and more enjoyable. Having access to a laundry room was another great convenience during my travels. The location is perfect for walking, with wonderful paths and beautiful surroundings to explore. The gym is excellent and well-equipped, making it easy to keep up with my routine while away from home. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. A special thank you for the sweet little teddy bear left to take care of guests at night—it was such a thoughtful and heartwarming touch that made me smile. I highly recommend The George and would happily stay here again!

The location was grass, apartment was lovely, staff were friendly, however the bed was like a plank of wood, it was the hardest bed we have slept in for a long time. Apart from that, it was a pleasant stay
