Lovely vintage hotel full of character and if you book the sea view rooms they’ve got the best views out onto the bay that you’ll get in Torquay.Nice spacious bar area staff friendly and drinks reasonably priced,would stay again.

Nice grand hotel. Well maintained. Room does not have air conditioning, even though there was an air-conditioning panel which did not work. It was a hot British summer. The front desk staff was pretty curt about it. However, Rob, the night manager managed to sort out the issue somewhat by providing us with some fans which helped. He was so much better than the earlier front desk staff that handled the situation. Hats off to you Rob!

Very enjoyable stay at a quiet hotel overlooking a small cove.

Really liked the terrace area where we sat for drinks and very good food. Fantastic views across the bay towards Berry Head.

A great cheap and cheerful location to stop over or use as base for the area.

Wonderful stay, so friendly, definitely would visit again, and great breakfast and great price. Thank you Donald and Elaine Schofield.

Very small and dated rooms. Bathroom was almost bigger than the bedroom yet the shower box was super tiny, impossible to turn around inside and no place to put soap. Courtyard rooms are not good and we got woken up twice by garbage truck 5.30am and then 6.30am some other delivery truck with laundry…
