This place is on the pricey side, but is by far the nicest hotel in Longyearbyen. The staff, the room, the food, and the hotel itself are all amazing. The included breakfast is excellent. The hotel itself is located on one of the highest locations in town, so there is a bit of an uphill climb back to the hotel after a day of exploring, but not an issue. Special thanks to Tina and Maiju at reception, and Daniel in the dining room for providing above and beyond amazing service.

Small rooms priced for a captive audience.
Hot and stuffy with no room temperature control and only a small opening windows subject to night time noise from student parties nearby leading to a poor nights sleep

Had a super lovely stay at the Basecamp Hotel. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, lovely and cosy atmosphere at the hotel with great breakfast. It was quiet and located conveniently. Absolutely recommend staying there.
