People, for the most part, were very kind (until you check out, then you’re nothing). Our ocean view price resulted in hearing dogs bark & noisy cars all hours next door (NOT part of resort). Also view of man beating underfed horses to get them into corral. No bueno. Pool and hot tubs are lovely. Lady running spa so very rude. Wait staff extremely kind; room was only cleaned twice whole week, and that’s with multiple requests. Here’s the thing; we pay to escape reality and yet all I saw from balcony was reality of poverty all around. Resort clean and pretty, despite no A/C in restaurants or hallways. At least water pressure was, drinking water WONDERFUL, and room nice and cool. Food was also pretty good. Red flags meant no water sports, & disappointing when we wanted to snorkel and wind surf. We enjoyed bowling but no shows in theatre for anyone over 8 (?) Over all I’d give it 3.8⭐️but, for the money spent in upgrades, would not return.

The resort was beautiful the workers were attentive. The food was amazing!

The beach was my favorite part relaxing with the ocean breeze. All the ice machines were always out, the ice machine on my floor didn’t work the entire week I was there. Jamaican jerk chicken was good but the lobster house was the best meal on the resort.

So let’s review: Restaurants were closed that was advertised, no bath towels available, the facilities look like it’s falling apart. Gift shop worker stole my money. Please DON’T rate yourself as a 5 star hotel or resort. I will never stay at any of your properties again (can’t trust it). I was uncomfortable my whole vacation. Saving graces: The Vassa Spa: 5 star facility, 5 star massage therapist (Michelle and Measha), the 7 mile beach, my birthday dinner at the Asian restaurant (everyone was nice), the Monogamy restaurant workers were nice.

Just left the resort. We stayed on the family side for 7 days - platinum junior suite. Here are my thoughts on this resort. Overall hotel appearance is beautiful! It is spacious and offers a lot of amenities but be prepared to do a lot of walking depending on room location and building. We were on Building 6 on the 2nd floor but our rooms were oceanfront so it was in the back of the building if you’re coming from the restaurants and lobby area. We found an emergency exit that was not locked so we used it to go down to the beach area - without having to walk all the way to the lobby. Rooms - very spacious but the bathroom layout is a bit weird. There’s a curtain that separates the bathroom from the beds - a little odd and not a lot of privacy. Restaurants/food - food was not bad for AI. We were platinum so our butler handled reservations for restaurants so getting in was not an issue. We tried the main buffet on our first day and it was horrible / food was not so fresh. From then on, we just used the platinum lounge for breakfast buffet and it’s much better - no waiting and food selection is smaller but enough and they also have a menu to order from if you don’t want the buffet offerings. Entertainment - the day time one is great - they really try hard to get people engaged. We enjoyed the foam party!!! The evening one is ok - they try. Hospitality - I’ve had better.
