I thought Sheraton was a thing, but it's not. Room was ok. Couple of towels were forgotten from previous customer over bathtub curtain. Pool was closed, only knew about it after reservation. I ordered breakfast without bacon. It took forever, then came with bacon. I told the guy I had to go for a meeting and don't have time to make another one, only 3 minutes. He left me talking and rushed to the kitchen to make another one within the time !!! I left. The two people working at the restaurant for breakfast make it like a fishmaret, talking to clients from distance, yelling to each other and making it very noisy. Internet kept disconnecting first night and I had to use my phone data. The benefit, it was close to my work!

The afternoon checkin clerk was very polite and helpful. If you want late checkout ask the checkin clerk in the afternoon . The morning staff is difficult to deal with the door man joked with me about a late checkout saying I wasn’t going to get it. I was told hotel was full booked so I could not have a late checkout or keep my vehicle parked for a few hours after checkout. After I was told I could not extend checkout or parking, I went on expedia to see if she was telling truth. I could see multiple room openings. I was told a plain lie to my face because she didn’t want to do any extra work except take my key cards at checkout.

Clean rooms, comfortable and safe. Beds were very comfortable. Central location to downtown Ottawa

This hotel is lovely with rooms that are very cozy and comfortable. However the experience with the staff was not great at check in. It took me having to reach out to Expedia and Expedia reaching out to the hotel for them to finally provide a proper solution. I did not appreciate the staffs unwillingness to help. This is way beyond company policy because in the end it was resolved by management. They could have simply offered this solution from the beginning instead of all the back and forth .It took away from the experience and made check in unnecessarily stressful.

We loved being a gold star member as the lounge amenity was great, except it was too cold, and the ability to check in and out quickly, except no one told us about that and had to wait in the line at the main Cecil in for quite some time.

Front desk staff were super friendly and helpful.

Too much carpet and rooms could use an update for the price
