Loved the style of the hotel. Stunning decor and very comfortable beds. Staff were also delightful and well informed. The pool was a really decent size - though in contrast to the rest of the hotel the pool area is very grey and uninteresting. Also no jacuzzi. Food and drink very good and the dining room is beautiful. We had a spa suite which was very spacious and comfortable BUT be warned - it is a very long walk from these to the main hotel. I counted walking through 8 fire doors before getting to the spa and from there I think there were another 3 or 4 before reaching the lift! For me there were a few niggles about the room. 1. No magnifying shaving/makeup mirror in the bathroom. I have bad eyesight so couldn’t see to put makeup on 2. Weirdly there was no plug on the sideboard for plugging in the kettle. We had to plug it in on the floor! (Room designer needs a planning lesson) 3. I would have liked a bath as well as shower. I think in a suite you might expect both. But overall a really lovely hotel and I would definitely go back

only complaints were water pressure was poor in the shower and it took a long time to get hot, but the room was clean comfortable and very nice. Breakfast was great Other minor complaint was it was about a 10 minute walk into town. Overall I would go back in a heartbeat

Staff are great, rooms are clean, and bed is comfortable. The atmosphere is charming and eco-friendly details are appreciated. BUT the rooms and maintenance need improvement, and the concept for design and décor needs a lot of work. While we were there one of the elevators went out. The floor of the shower is slippery when wet, and dangerous for older people who could fall. Previously we stayed in a room that was much better. This time the "executive" room was so small that there was barely room for the suitcases, and the room was dreary, with poor lighting, black decor and no privacy curtain so either the blackout curtain is closed for privacy with no light, or the blackout curtain is open and you can see into other people's apartments across the narrow alley, and vice versa. The thermostat is black on black so to read the little dial in the dim light of the room you need a flashlight. There is only one chair in the room, which assumes that there is no second person doing anything but sitting or lying on the bed.

Wonderful location!

The rooms were very basic but clean, although the hotel could definitely use a good renovation and some updating. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The location was excellent, with shops, restaurants, and public transportation all right at your doorstep, making it very convenient for exploring the area. One thing to note is that rooms facing the main street can be quite noisy at night due to the busy bar located across the street.

The staff were exceptionally nice. The room was clean. Plenty 9f parking. Breakfast was good. But the evening meals were expensive and not as good as I would expect given how much they cost. We had our last meal there and as I'm a vegetarian, I'm limited anyway. They could not adjust I was told as the meals came ready made - so microwave food for £15 to £20. I ended up getting soup.
