It was nice and clean, the room was incredibly spacious and it was a convenient location to lots of shops and eateries.

A tastefully developed pub with ample rooms, stylish appearance and appealing atmosphere. Dinner was a little disappointing (had the buttermilk chicken burger) which felt as if it had been pre-prepared/defrosted and reheated. May have just been an unlucky experience as generally the food reviews are very good and the breakfast was truly excellent and very fresh. Husband's burger was good. Staff very pleasant. We had a waterside suite which looked over the cricket pitch at the back so was quiet. Used it as a base to start the Thames Path walk at its source near Kemble.

Hotel was ok clean and plenty of parking the breakfast was good but disappointing that we paid for a superior room which we got but this was an interconnected room and considering the description was sound proof rooms I can confirm they are not sound proof both nights we stayed the room next to us had very loud music playing and you could clearly hear the conversations in the room, the hotel was busy so i didn’t expect it to be silent but it was quite loud with doors banging. Our room was spacious with a good size bathroom and the mini fridge was stocked with Diet Pepsi and water. The pool was nice but again very busy. It’s a good location we visited the Cotswolds,Cheltenham and Gloucester quays.

Only thing that was that only one lift was working so going down to the ground floor to check out took 10 minutes as the lift was full also took ages between floors.

We booked a 2 night stay for our 9th wedding anniversary and we couldn't have been happier. So happy in fact that on checkout we actually went back inside for one more coffee before leaving. The Bruce Suite was immaculate and perfect. Little touches wishing us best wishes on our anniversary with a prosecco on arrival, a card and even little touches when having our evening dinner meal. The spa was amazing and genuinely as a whole experience makes our top 3 of all time. Staff were always on hand for whatever needed and couldn't do enough for us. Thank you so much for making our time a special one and no doubts we will return in future.

Room was nicely appointed and very comfortable. Blackout blind was a great aid to a good night's sleep as was the very comfortable bed. Powerful shower was greatly appreciated. Breakfast room was very elegant and the breakfast served was both plentiful and delicious. Loved spending time in this characterful, historic property ideally placed for visiting the main attractions Tewkesbury has to offer.
