Ibiza Island Waterpark Holidays

3 nights on all inclusive in standard room with balcony - apart from very friendly service from staff, it was not the greatest experience tbh - basic room stuck at back with balcony on floor level looking out into a wall, strong sewage smell issues in my room which could only be remedied with staff pouring a cleaning liquid of some sort down the drain which masked the smell to an extent. Made me seal off bathroom door at night and avoid room when I could during the day. I read about similar issues in other reviews but took a chance hoping it was resolved. Periodic sewage smell in front of hotel on beach also during the day. resort itself felt a bit like a budget cruise-ship experience - from food quality, slightly cringy evening entertainment, limited drink choices and quality (one beer option, all spirits and mixers were unknown brands, more familiar options cost extra), social areas. Everyone packed out like sardines around pool, away from beach. This is probably all fine for a lot of people if it’s what you’re expecting, and is aligned with price (ie 3 star) Due to an issue with my next hotel (Barcelo) I was upgraded to sea view room + elite member level (which has its own separate bar & lounge area on the beach) for my last night (paid for by Barcelo, which was great btw) and this upgrade felt like a totally different resort experience. The room was significantly nicer + newer, and the elite area had more drink options and lounge area next to beach.
