Hotel has a "no service" approach to room, on environmental justification - this should be made clear at check-in, so guests would have the option to request service, and change of towels, if they so choose, at check-in. Often, especially with late check-in the opportunity would be missed.

Location GOOD beds Uncomfortable as ever Especially the additional sofa bed - Useless Amenities were all broken when we went No ice machine Safe broken The switch system in the room was horrible. If you turned off the lights at night the fan that we requested would turn off as well. No windows that prop open a wee bit too so very suffocating. They also had planned construction at front desk which disrupted many things. Such as our keys to room were not working each time. We had to go down multiple trips or have them come up to open the room. Technically they should refund our $ for a not satisfactory stay.

Excellent and beautiful dining room.

Great location (see caveat that follows!) and super easy self service. Easy to get to from train station, less than 10 minute walk. Close to Port of Bergen, many great places to eat and drink, and close to art museums. Ear plugs were provided, thank you! Word of warning, I believe I arrived right as University of Bergen welcomed students back for the school year, and the bars at this intersection are open until 3AM and it gets LOUD. Ear plugs help, but it is loud until very early in the morning. I'm a hot sleeper and needed the window open, and with earplugs and a sound machine one can sleep. No complaints, just a warning!
