Great Nostalgic hotel, beautifully appointed rooms and the location was perfect to visit the city of Edinburgh.

Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent food and good variety of wines and spirits. Comfortable 'country house' hotel.

The accommodation itself was nice and we had a good meal in Charlie’s. We were disappointed to find out that the spa was an additional £65 per person and didn’t think that was overly clear when we booked as otherwise we would’ve picked a different option. Regardless, we paid it after we the facilities were listed and frustrated to find out one of the saunas were out of order. We were celebrating our ‘mini-moon’ and overall we were a bit disappointed with the experience and value for money.

The property is perfectly located. Quiet location and a short distance to most attractions. Staff was responsive to questions upon arrival. We enjoyed our stay here and wouldn’t hesitate to come back!
