(1,584 reviews) No fridge which had been stated as standard for each room so our milk ( bought because they don’t provide any in the room) went bad. Bedside light didn’t work. Swimming pool, which was the main reason I chose the hotel was only available as part of a 3 hour spa pass for £23\. I wanted a quick half hour swim each day but it wasn’t worth that price. Breakfast buffet was ok but food not renewed timely and staff seemed miserable and unwilling to help. Dinner buffet was less good with no choice of main dish other than a vegetarian option, no dessert at all and little choice of wine. Menu was not advertised in advance but I suppose as the meals were included in the overall room price there’s no incentive for improving quality or service. We were charged twice for a glass of wine but they grudgingly agreed to cancel the charge when we queried it. Well positioned on bus route 3 but quite a way out of the restaurant area if one wanted to eat elsewhere. Thankfully the hotel manager, Henrietta, stepped in and helped me. I would stay again if they did a complete remodel of all rooms and trained their staff in proper customer service and just being polite.
