Isle of Lismore Waterpark Holidays

Great hotel in general - clean but we had concerns about the smell of mould in the bathroom, had to jam the door open as it was stifling when closed. Something to do with fire laws there....that may put me of staying there as I struggle with that particular smell - HOWEVER....the Chop Grill & Bar was excellent!!! Staff amazing and the food was so good we ate there twice!!! Would defo visit the restaurant again :-)

Conveniently located to train station

Room had rubbish from previous guest in it - some of the toiletries in bathroom were empty. no bin bags in bins very much felt like I was dumped in the worst room as I was quite late arriving - there was a random door in my room which was locked but didn't make me feel very safe at all - there was also a lot of banging throughout the nights

Great location, had everything we needed. Windows could use a wash.

A beautiful building in wonderful surroundings. There was nothing at all to fault in our stay at Mar Hall. We stayed in one the rooms in The Barn which was a short walk away from the main building and overlooked the golf course. Special mention to the super comfortable mattress and pillows- perfect! The staff were super friendly and helpful and our breakfast on both mornings of our stay were delicious.

The room was fabulous with a big comfortable bed. All the staff we met were friendly and very helpful. We were travelling with our dog so couldn’t eat breakfast in the main restaurant but we ate in the tavern instead which was lovely and quiet. We could pick from their menu or order anything from the main restaurant including the buffet too. In the evenings we ate in La Vista and again took our dog, the first was great and again we were well looked after. My only negative would be the cost of bringing our dog at £50 per night which is very high compared to other hotels on our trip and the very long dog policy we needed to sign on arrival which we’ve never come across before. As responsible dog owners we always clean up after our dog and would expect to pay extra in the unlikely event of damage.

An amazing hotel, so classy, the old castle has be renovated to a very high level and the new part is amazing. The staff were excellent, helpful, attentive, friendly. Grounds are lovely even with the noise of the main road in the distance but in the hotel you hear nothing. Breakfast was superb. Need to find a reason to go back.
