Lower Manhattan Scuba Diving Holidays

I thought this hotel was superb. Amazing location in an eclectic, lively neighbourhood; and great value-for-money for NYC. Really friendly and helpful staff. And the room was simple and utilitarian, but also exceptionally well-designed and aesthetically and stylistically so cool as well. Free cocktails made for a nice welcome gift, and the overall energy and vibe of the stay was so on-point. One *tiny* quibble was the low pressure from my showerhead, but that was a small inconvenience at most. I've visited New York many times before, but staying uptown in the Heights this time was an excellent decision, rather than defaulting to midtown area. I'd highly recommend choosing Radio Hotel if like me you're an international traveler and you want a place to stay that's way away from the tourist spots, but from which those spots are still easily accessible (1 train straight shot down and up for the win). The staff and building are a credit to hoteliers the world over, and whoever is in charge there should be roundly applauded for the quality of service they have effectively delivered.

We arrived at 4:30pm and computers were down, we waited half an hour in line to check in before we had to leave our bags in a storage room so we could make our reservation. When we returned they didn’t have the double bed room that we prepaid for, put us in another room but didn’t have bedding for the pull out couch, so we had no blankets to sleep with. The next day they said they would let me know if our room became available and it never did. No one ever came to service the room we were placed in, in the 3 days we were there. We asked for 4 towels, they would bring us 3. I complained to deaf ears. There was a set of 4 dirty wine glasses on a table outside of the elevator that were there from the day we checked in to the day we checked out. Would not recommend, and I seldom write reviews.

I loved how modern and clean the hotel was and our room was perfect for my son (9) and I! We had a queen bed with a nice view from the 9th floor. It did get loud in the middle of the night with street sounds from below but we used his white noise machine and that helped a lot. My only issue was that the blinds are very sheer and the light comes right in so our room never really got dark. I used a head band and wrapped it over my eyes at night and it worked perfectly. Our room got cleaned nicely every day of our three night stay. The breakfast was really nice with lots of options. There were big lines every morning but I was so impressed with how quickly the staff got people seated. I liked that there were plenty of elevators so the wait was never long to get on. The staff was very polite and so friendly. The location is perfect with it being near Times Square, Central Park and the water (if you want to walk down to catch a ferry...we did Circle Line to the Statue of Liberty and back). The price was not too bad, considering all that was included and the location. I would recommend this hotel...best one I've been to in NYC and I've visited a lot.

I have stayed there many times. Location is fantastic & view of the cathedral is beautiful. Stay there 4-5 times per year. Love it.

El lugar estuvo muy bien: limpio, personal amable, desayuno rico, cocina normal. Lo unico que no me gusto fueron sus politica de early check in. Ya que mi esposo y yo necesitabamos early check in asi que una semana antes me comunique con el servicio al cliente donde me atendieron por mensajes un chico llamado Alex, yo le pregunte si aqui ofrecian ese servicio y me dijo que si pero a disponibilidad. Para mi con eso estaba bien porque antes en el Holiday Inn Paris fue la misma situacion, nosotros llegamos de madugada solicitando el early check in y por dicha si tenian disponibilidad, asi que esta vez de igual forma mi esposo y yo esperabamos llegar al hotel a pedir el servicio y ver si habia disponibilidad. Pero para nuestra sorpresa cuando llegamos nos dijo un joven en la recepcion que no nos podian hacer el early check in aun porque no estaba la persona que se encargaba de eso y que el no tenia autorizacion. Siendo asi le pedimos que nos cobrara 1 noche mas (ya teniamos pago 5 noches) con tal de poder alojarnos pero dijo que tampoco podia hacerlo. Para nosotros fue desgastante y frustante que luego de volar tantas horas para llegar ahi en plena madrugada con frio de -4 no nos pudieran ayudar, pero no incistimos y nos fuimos a buscar donde pasar la noche. Al final solo encontramos lugar en un motel de muy mal gusto y al mismo precio que costaban las noches en el Holiday. No entiendo como es que un hotel de esta cadena tan grande no podia hacer reservaciones las 24/7.
