Lagos Island Scuba Diving Holidays

My partner and I stayed at Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel VI for 2 weeks for a holiday from England, and had an fantastic stay. All of the staff were attentive, friendly, professional and polite: cleaners, catering staff, bar staff, front desk staff. The hotel is very clean and kept to a very high standard with regard to maintenance and cleanliness. We felt safe and looked after, with the staff offering a very personalised approach. The hotel decor was also of a very high standard and highly appropriate. The food is excellent, with a very wide choice to select from to cater to different tastes. My partner and I mainly chose the Nigerian options so we got the full cultural experience of the country. Indeed the food was so good, we opted to have our evening meals at the hotel for most evenings. We also enjoyed the excellent breakfast - again with a wide choice of offerings from different parts of the world, including Nigeria itself. Nearby places of interest included the Nike Art Gallery in Lekki; the National Museum; the J.Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture & History; the arts & crafts market in Lekki; the Lekki Conservation Centre.

When we first arrived our sheets and pillows were dirty. We requested that they all be changed and they were pretty quickly. We also let the host know that the apartment did not match the description they provided. Which was a lake view apartment with private pool. We had neither. The room also didn’t match the photos showcased online, which featured a spacious living room and dining room with space for all 6 of our guests to sit. The space given to us only sat 4ppl. The host stated the photos are general for the property and not specific to the room. I never received a response regarding why we didn’t have a lake view or private pool that we paid for. The water was cold and we when we let them know, they adjusted it but only some of our shower got hot but not all of them and throughout our stay the water went back and forth. So several of us took cold showers on multiple days. Additionally the showers are not properly lined up and water got all over the floor whenever you took a shower. The power went out constantly throughout our stay. And the walls are so thin, it was very loud. You could hear people talking outside. Lastly the beds were hard a a rock, felt like we were sleeping on the floor. On a good note, they did allow us to have a late check out for the inconveniences.
