lost power 2nd day we stay on evening July 3rd. No power no A/C when there's 30 degree outside, my kids got scared the hotel was dark no light and hot

The food at the restaurant was delicious with big windows to look out. The rooms clean with comfy beds. The staff are cheerful creating a wonderful environment.

room 601 was an amazing corner suite with views of the casino and waterfront. walkable hotel to halifax boardwalk, casino, citadel and other great historic halifax attractions. parking available for $30/night in a parking garage next to the hotel. the pool however did not have a shower/washroom or a hot tub but great clean water.

Incredible fitness center, something unique was we wanted to package the clean refreshing smell . We commented about it each time we visited or passed thru to go to the pool or sauna.

Not much in terms of amenities. The Chop restaurant is located right in the lobby next to the check in area, which is right next to a lounge area. The floor just feels a bit crowded. We booked a suite because we need the space. Not sure what the standard rooms are like but the square footage seemed pretty small by listed size and maybe a bit crammed too. I would more rate this like an oversized boutique hotel rather than your standard hotel. If I had to choose again, I would look into the Muir hotel just a block away as this seem to take up some more real estate and their lobby area seems a bit more spacious.

Staff wasn't very attentive upon check in. The room was clean and comfortable

We needed a last-minute hotel stay and the Sandman was an excellent choice.
