The property is superb and the place was spotless surrounded by beautiful countryside. The only issue was the breakfast, obviously there were no staff to serve at breakfast so it was a bit every man for himself, the food and drink is all laid out the night before so first up is best dressed. By the time we got down, 9.00 am there was no fruit or yoghurt left and a tiny bit of butter to go with the stale bread and pastries. I think a lot of people are basically pigs at a buffet and very rarely think of other people. Couldn’t fault the hotel but maybe a different way of serving up breakfast.

Bag drop and check-in were very slow. On both occasions, it was 10 mins from when we first started speaking. Both times the person dealing with me left and started dealing with somebody else. Room was clean and had a view out over the Mersey. Restaurant and bar staff were excellent. Both helpful in catering for my allergies. Location is close to the main attractions.

Bedrooms and front of house staff were very good. The yellow submarine cocktail is outstanding. The spa is a lot more average. It took almost 40 mins for drinks to get delivered to the pool. A pool with steam room/sauna/salt room being described as a thermal suite is a bit generous! The relaxation room is also noisy.

We had a very good time, the room was comfortable and pretty convenient, but this is NOT A HOTEL. Lovely though it was, there is no bar, no restaurant, no staff after lunchtime ish. It is simply not a hotel. I would love to give them more stars, but it is not what it claims to be.

I have visited UStay apartments previously and it didn’t disappoint 2nd time around. Everything you need is in a nearby location, whether that be a shopping trip or going for the night life, every thing is nearby. The apartments were very clean and well looked after.

Lovely big,clean room,could do with sorting the air con out but it is very warm at the moment so think anything would struggle would recommend the property and the staff were helpful
